Stayed at the Hotel Rott for the second time in September 2011. The hotel is just as nice as it was 5 years before. Will definitely stay at this hotel next time we're in Prague.

I stayed in this hotel on a business trip, but it could have been a city break vacation. The location is absolutely perfect for this hotel, right in the middle of the old town. Everything of interest for the tourist is within walking distance. If you need to go outside of the old town, there is a metro station very close by, so that adds to the location as well.
The only downside was that my bed wasn't that great. It felt like a worn down bed.
The building is a nice old building and the rooms were in the same style, although all provided with the necessities for a nice stay.
Breakfast was a basic buffet, but the things they served were nice and fresh.

Overall the only thing that saved this hotel was the location. The beds were uncomfortable (tiny and pushed against a wall), and nobody in our group got a decent, full night's rest. There were no windows, just an overhead hatch, which obviously leaked in lots of rain prior to my visit (there were water stains down the wall). And the carpets did not look clean. The breakfast was both hit and miss. The eggs were good, but the fruit and vegetables looked like they had been out for days. There's free wifi in the lobby, but none in them rooms.
That being said, you could not ask for a better location.

This hotel is in an excellent location and within wasy walking distance of all the city attractions. The staff are friendly and helpful and the room was a generous size and clean, warm and comfortable. The buffet breakfast is plentiful and my only suggestion for improvement is to provide tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
