My wife and I stayed here in the Spring of 2011 for three nights prior to a Danube cruise. This is a great place for someone that likes to have a home base but enjoys seeing the city on your own. By that I mean it is a no frills Marriott but it does have a small health center and offers a good breakfast. Rooms are oversized (we had a corner balcony room on the top floor) with a nice kitchen area. Front desk is friendly and they speak English. Best asset is location. Several nice neighborhood bars and restaurants just steps away, many offering free WIFI. Two blocks to the street car line. Three neighborhood groceries at the end of the block for food and supplies. A short walk to Wenceslas Square and the center of the city.
One word of caution. When we arrived and got out of our taxi, the door was locked (as it always is) but there was no one at the front desk to let us in. We stood on the sidewalk about five minutes with our luggage until another guest arrived and opened the door. We followed them in and waited about five more minutes for someone to return to the front desk. With limited staff I guess we just showed up at the wrong time, but otherwise there were no problems and it was a very pleasant stay.
