Duo Hotel is located right by the Metro station. It takes 15 minutes to Muzeum (downtown Prague). Very clean, quite. Located in a residential neighbourhood. Very good breakfast with so many choices. Hotel llifts are not very dependable sometimes scary.

The only trouble I experienced with the hotel is the plugs. Actually this is not the problem with the hotel but the Czech Republic has different kind of plugs. I was not able to recharge my laptop.

There are not many things to be seen around the hotel. Just condos.

Colors do not match in the room. Decoration wise needs improvement and update.

I was a bit daunted when I first saw the hotel as it looks a bit utilitarian from the outside and is surrounded by residential tower blocks - but it is in a great location only 14 minutes from the centre of Prague on the Metro to a brand new station and the trains run every few minutes. The room was warm and spacious and although there wasn't much of a view we had everything we needed. We didn't eat in the hotel apart from breakfast as we were on a short break and went out early each day so I can't comment on the restaurant. We had the buffet breakfast though and there was plenty to choose from each day. The chef even made us some more porridge one morning when it had run out. There is a tourist information desk in reception where we bought our transport tickets which were really cheap and valid on the trains, buses trams and funicular. We also found a flyer for Don Giovanni and got tickets to see that at the Prague National Puppet Theatre!! If the weather is bad the hotel has a ten pin bowling alley and quite a nice bar in reception although it was never very busy when we were there. I have stayed in better quality hotels but for the price this was very good and I would stay here again.

I have been staying in this Hotel once or twice a year since around 2001. Its location suits the business trips that I make. The restaurant food is good, although dont go for the buffet breakfast at the last minute as some items were not topped up to my liking. On the mornings that I was early, it was perfect. The bedrooms are fine, the only complaint being the extreme heat. Turning the heat down straight away will take a long time to result in a normal bedroom temperature, so you should probably open the windows wide until it gets comfortable. The bar is also fine, but is very quite mid-week and lacks some atmosphere.
The underground in Prague runs right in front of the Hotel and a recently built station will get you to the centre of Prague in less than 15 minutes and costs less than 1 €, exiting at the Museum stop. I got great value with B&B only costing € 33 per night. Its not the Hilton, but at that price, its good value. I will be back.

Having been to this Hotel on several occassions, I felt it had a lack of ambience this time around. It's great having swimming, spa and ten pin bowling within the hotel but the restaurant was a bit of a let down. There are 2 bars - one in the leisure area and the other being the Lobby bar and if you want reasonably priced drinks, then head down to the leisure one. Over-all, I don't think I would return mainly due to the lack of friendliness of the staff, who all seemed to be in need of some cheering up.
