“Clean budget hotel with good service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 August 2007

I am staying in this hotel over 50 days as long stay client.
Hotel is only 3 minutes from Tram station No.11 and 24 to city center (20-30min). Or 5 minutes by tram to Metro ,,Green Line - A" , 25minutes from Main Bus Terminal Florenc by bus 133 or 45 minutes from the airport when you take bus 119 to Dejvicka* Metro A from Dejvicka to Zelivskeho street and from the Zelivskeho to Plananska by bus 188,155,208 or by the tram No. 11 to Zborov station.

Hotel is divided into two differently equipped parts.
Appartments consist of a bedroom and a seating area and are equipped to render enough comfort for our guests.

SAT-TV ,Direct dial telephone ,Radio
Some rooms feature also a refridgerator
In room safe box
An extrebed can be installed into these rooms, handicapped accessible room is also available.
132 four- and five-bedded rooms are divided into two separate bedrooms with two or three beds. For those two bedrooms, a shared bathroom with shower is available.

I have 2 rooms apartment with 4 beds (2 beds in each room), without TV-SAT and Fridge. WC-bathroom are renovated.
Furnithure is old, but nice ....´80 years RETRO :)
Hotel is clean !!!

Breakfast...for shorth stay are incl.
Buffet or continental breakfast.
Cheese, Salami, jam, honey, butter, 5 minutes eggs, salads, sweets rolls, cornflakes, musli, fresh yogurth, milk, apple and orange juice, coffe, tea ......

During the day you can choose from Fast food (hot dogs or hamburgers with french fries only for 3 eur), italian pizza for 5-7 Eur or classic hot meals. 1 minute from the hotel is little chinese restaurant with excellent prices ...menu for 5 Eur or supermarket Albert.

So finally PRICE = QUALITY
Hotel has good quiet and safety location with good public transportation service. Building is old - cold, but inside is ok.
I think, When you finding budget clean hotel, Fortuna Rhea is good for your stay as 2* hotel or 3* star quality rooms.

“Nice hotel”

Hotel fortuna rhea is a nice hotel. The room that i had was fine, it had a seperate bedroom and a little livingroom. But not all the rooms are like that i got lucky. There are rooms where you have to share a corridor and the bathroom with strangers but those rooms will be renovated soon so that won't be a problem for very long. The staff is pretty friendly they speak english well. The food is nice too, you have enough choise.
The hotel is way to far from the city to go by foot but by tram it's do-able there's a tram station nearby. The tickets for the tram are very cheap just 20 Kc thats like 60 eurocents.
Conclusion: the hotel is good. It just would have been nicer if it had been closer to the city.

I stayed here on a school trip. When we pulled up outside it I wanted to go home! It was located in a depressing area in the middle of flats and quite a long drive from the centre of Prague. My room was on the 13th floor. It was clean with adequate toilet/shower facilities. The room had a balcony but we had no access to it, much to the relief of our teachers! We received breakfast, a packed lunch and a dinner from the hotel and these were not nice at all. The packed lunch seemed to consist of leftovers from the previous nights dinner. The hotel claimed to have an internet cafe, however this consisted of a single computer. During my stay the phone lines were down also. The only redeemable feature was the bar. This hotel is definately more like a hostel and most of its clientelle seemed to be school groups. I would not recommend it to non-groups!

  • Liked — It was decently clean and it had a bar
  • Disliked — It was depressing and too far away from the centre of Prague

“Cancel immedaiatly if booked”

Let's start with the arrival and check in. I went with my school on a school trip. I went there on a one night stay.

When we arrived we (eg. the teachers) were told that they had to fill out an insurance form where all (86) Names, passport numbers and birthdates should be written down, that alone took over 90 Minutes, after that we got to our rooms.
There we were stunned by the great view fom the room, the room were nice and tidy. Allthough the balconys are closed due to safty reasons.
Right, then we went out to see the city, (approx. 4:30. pm. Departure from Hotel) wevry nice city indeed.

When we got back (approx 10:15 p:m. Arirval to Hotel.) the security guard (a middle aged man wearing an uniform and speaking really bad Engish.) Asked if i were carring any alcohol in the bag i had with me at the time. A positive thing.
But the joy were quicky gone, for when we gotten up to the floor where our rooms were, there were pepole doing drugs and drinking. They were also openly offering it to any by passers. it got so bad that around midnight i had to call the reception to tell them to do something about the situation. And so they did.
Approx. 15 minutes later there were about five police cars that were taking some with them, but not all. Later one of my classmates head that they wanted 'to get hold of the one reporting it to the police.' Luckerly they didn't get it. but it were a really bad experience there.

SUMMARY:
A really bad hotel. i heard afterwardt that Burglaries were frequent. The beds were good, although i found semen on my pillow. I fell an physical more safe when we left the hotel to go home.

Stayed September 2006
