The hotel was very clean, everything was new (beds, bathroom, wardrobe), it was situated 30 minutes by tram No. 24 to the bus station Florenc, 20 minutes by tram No. 22 to Prague castle or No. 24 directly to Václavské náměstí. The room was big enough, there were only Czech channels on TV - no SAT TV! as it was claimed on the website. The restaurant was big enough, offered a wide range of food for breakfast - e. g. rolls, dark wholemeal bread, cereals, butter, jams, yoghurts, fruits (melon, banana, apple, peach, nectarine - every day the fruit has been changed), honey, cheese, ham, eggs, sausages, coffee, tea, milk,...Breakfast was served from 7. till 10 a.m. At the reception they could have sold all day tickets for public transport (they only had 30 minute tickets) because at the bus stop there is no ticket machine.
In the surroundings of the hotel you can find a large department store EDEN where TESCO is. Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday there are farmers' markets in front of the hotel Mars.
If you go to Prague for a shorter stay so it is a good choice where to sleep. Prague is the beautiful historical city which worths visiting but be careful of exchange offices - they cheat!!!!!.
