I stayed here during my 2nd stay in prague.. considering the price, i would give this an average rating.. u hv much better services available at these rates in other comparable 5 star hotels in prague.. the location is also not great..

Alright, So I'm writing this review long after I stayed (this was my first proper trip abroad) but this hotel made a lasting impression. Also, when I've visited Prague again more recently, I still get awestruck by the lobby of this place.

In general, this is the top end of what you expect for a Hilton 4* hotel. classy, clean, helpful.

Its three drawbacks for me at the time were that: (a) the receptionist working there when I stayed spoke very little English and (b) the costs of everything in the hotel (bar, food, etc...) were all astronomical, like the prices you would pay in down-town Oslo, and (c) considering it was -12 degrees C when we arrived, it was a bit out of the way of the main sites (although in the summer, this would not be a problem).

I still can't get over the ceiling décor in the lobby though. It must be one of the most beautiful entrance lobbies of any hotel.

It was a lovely place to stay, but I don't think I could quite afford to stay there again.

Irresponsibility by the staff of the hotel lost my transfer to the airport. The management did nothing to solve the problem. almost missed the flight because of the delay. The staff isn't helpful and speaks little English.

A very nice hotel--off the beaten path slightly, but within 15-20 minutes of walking to the main squares and only 2-3 minutes walking to the metro stop and also within a few minutes of the main bus station if you plan to take any side trips out-of-town. The metro stop near the hotel goes directly to weneslaus (spelling?) square , which is one of the main sightseeing attractions and you can transfer at the same spot to go to all the other main attarctions. We are not big wealkers, so got the unlimited pass good for all buses, streetcars, and the metro. Prague Castel is far from everything and up a big hill, so we metroed to where we could catch a streetcar that took us directly there.

For a good price, I would highly recommend this hotel.
