We stayed here for two nights this weekend. The hotel is fabulous; it was refurbished in 2008 & clearly to a very high standard.
It is only a 3-4 min walk from Wencelas Square and 15 min walk from the Old Town.

The room was very spacious and the bathroom was great; fabulous shower.

We got a very good rate for the room with breakfast included. Drinks in the hotel are about three times more expensive than regular bars so we only had one drink there. Their restuarant is quite pricey too.

The lobby and community rooms are decorated with large old paintings, woodden carved chairs, red velvet - rare traces of welth and tranquility from better ages.
I had a rather 4 star category smaller single room in this otherwise well-kept 5 star hotel for just one night.
Sleep was not really relaxing due to mattress, but the room was well equipped and was still very OK for the price.
Parking is not free even under the sky in front of the hotel, but its guarded.
Prague old city is around the corner with its amazing sights.
A nice memory of the attentive staff: I forgot my chipcard on the restaurant table after breakfast. I realized it at my room door. Just by descending and stepping out of the elevator, a smiling waitress waited me with the card right there.

This is a great hotel for families. The family room was quite big with two large rooms. It had a nice sized bathroom with a soaking tub. The hallways were a bit dark, but it was a nice hotel. The location is only about a 15 minute walk from the centre of town. It is very quiet, so if you are looking for atmosphere after dark in the hotel this is not the place for you - but if you are looking for a nice, clean and quiet hotel - we would highly recommend it.

I have just returned from a five night stay in the Esplanade Hotel Prague. The trip was purely for business and I cannot speak highly enough of the hotel and training facilities. The hotel is close to Wenceslas Square and all of the facilities and fantastic sights of this historic city.

The rooms were comfortable and spacious for a city hotel although the corridors were slightly dark and tunnel like. However, the lavish decoration, beautiful paintings and period features of the whole hotel overcame the shortfall.

The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The training facilities - in an old boardroom, were excellent. It felt more as though we were working in a scene from a period drama.

Breakfast was a bit basic and not varied at all during my stay. However, the French restaurant offered amazing cuisine at reasonable prices. The sign of the door says it has been given a Michelin award, but check this out before you book.

There is free internet throughout the hotel, but it was somewhat slow in my room.

A great hotel to stay in if you want to explore Prague, or are just there for a conference.

Two things to think about though: there is limited English language TV stations; if you have dietary needs such as halal, or vegetarian let the hotel know about them a couple of weeks before you visit.
