At the dorint hotel I was on a business trip, the hotel is very nice and friendly personal. Although there were a couple of small the problem but for the hotel. The first problem: at the airport, I took a taxi AAA price was 52 €, a very dear price, after arrival at the hotel I learned that the hotel has own taxi Audi A6 and Mercedes at the cost of the airport 35 € but when I do I the reservation offer hotel taxi. So I suggest to ask in the hotel's taxi ride from the airport when making the booking. The second problem was I got a room with a window into a busy street but was not a problem with the move to quieter rooms, the reception was very helpful. The receptionist, I think her name was "Eva". Breakfast is rich and fresh. Wellness in the hotel is very nice and pleasant price. In my next visit to Prague again I choose at the Dorint hotel.

This summer my wonderful In-laws took the whole family, three generations, on a Grand Circle tour. I had read the reviews for this hotel and was somewhat mortified. I was plesantly surprised ~ not a hotel that I would pick out if I had a choice BUT it really wasn't that bad. This is definitely a hotel that caters towards tours. Breakfast room was always a buzz but we had no problems finding seats and food was constiantly replenished. The best part of the hotel was the location next to the metro. The escalator down to the metro is a thrill within itself; very steep and fast. We had no problem finding our way around using public transporation. There is a grocery store in the mall the stop before Don Giovanni's where we went to buy local beer, wine, cheese and bread.
One of our favorite experiences out of the whole trip happened right in the neighborhood of the hotel. We walked three or four blocks and ate in a "real Cezch" restaurant. The owner did not speak English but a customer tried interpreting. The food was WONDERFUL and as my daughter said, by the end both family and the locals were laughing and having fun. 7 meals, 10 beers, 2 wines and memories for a lifetime, came to $72.00 Sorry, I don't remember the name of the restaurant but what I'd like to say, is sometimes great experiences come from unexpected places.
So, if you are on a budget or a set tour, do not be afraid of this place.

A lot about this hotel is blah. While the beautiful lobby may take your breath away, the rooms are standard and the staff is rather cold.

Our check in went rather smoothly, but the front desk agent was rather disinterested and not particularly friendly. The room was rather small, but still included all the standards such as slippers, and amenities.

The breakfast included a cold and hot option. The great part was the chef made omelettes and variety. However, be warned that breakfast can be hectic during peak season, so scrambling for a seat can be a challenge. We had dinner at the restaurant and particularly enjoyed our waiter - excellent service!

The hotel is conveniently located next to a metro, making traveling and exploring a breeze.

I stayed at the Doriant in November 2011. The only plus...it IS near the metro station. The hotel is located across the street from a hospital complex. Sirens could be heard day and night. I was in a room facing the cemetery and the noise was tolerable. Those on the street side complained of traffic noise. The restaurant staff was rude... getting water was obviously an unrealistic request. The service was horrible and we were made to feel like we were an imposition. I would not stay at this hotel again.
