Great hotel, well situated, very good service, clean, big bathroom, good breakfast. Free coffee and tea in the lobby (more than welcome in winter time!!!). Nice and helpful doorman. We will be happy to stay at the Cloister Inn again or to recommend it to our friends and family.

Fantastic location in walking distance to all the main attractions in prague. The room was clean and very spacious and great for the price. Staff were friendly especially the doorman. Good breakfast served in the morning, I would stay there again.

Based on all the previous reviews this place should be one of the better places to stay in Prague. I guess this implies that most other hotels are horrible. To be honest, the Cloister Inn is ok, but lacks any kind of creativity, atmosphere, luxury or originality. It feels more like a hostel. The building itself is most unattractive. The interior and decoration are a perfect match to the outside. The room was fairly large but felt more like a converted office space than a comfortable hotel room. Furniture is outdated and not suitable for commercial use. Bathroom is very basic. An average highway motel has more to offer. Staff is helpful but not more than that. Location is good, but not better than other hotels around town. Breakfast is quite good but nothing fancy. No extra facilities.

The hotel is very close to all the main sights. Charles Bridge & Old Town Square are about 5 minutes walk. Wenceslas Square about 10 minutes The castle is about 20 minutes walk away.

The hotel has good security systems with pass key doors throughout & a security guard nearly always present - this made the environment feel very safe.

Our room was 5 steps to the reception/lobby/bar. This was very handy as there were 2 pc's with internet access, free coffee, mini bar & English newspapers. To the rear of the reception is an outdoor smoking area in the locked hotel car park.

The bedroom was more than adequate. Very comfortable bed, power shower, TV, safe & fridge which had a couple of free drinks in when we arrived - nice touch. Tesco is only 5 minutes walk - so we kept our fridge topped by buying there. There is no kettle in the room.

There have been some negative comments about breakfast on here but we both found it to be ample & sufficient. Typical East Euro food. Hams, cheeses, pickles, hot dogs, hot/cold hard boiled eggs, cereals, breads, jams, yoghurts, fruit, toast etc.. The food was being replenished right up to the end of breakfast at 10:30.

Overall I would say this is an excellent hotel for someone wanting a central location with a relaxed atmosphere & good breakfast to start the day.
