We could not have been more pleased with our recent week long stay at the Hotel U Raka in Prague. We have had numerous visits to Europe over the past 30 years and this charming boutique hotel is without a doubt the very best accommodation we have ever had!!! If you desire a great location (5 min walk to #22 tram/10 min ride to city center), calm and quiet surroundings, cultural and historical ambience, warm, genuine and gracious hospitality, then Hotel U Raka is the place for you. Our spacious superior suite/room was just fantastic: beautifully decorated with old world charm, rustic brick fireplace (cleaned and prepared for use each day), sunroom with garden view and very comfortable bed/pillows. The expansive breakfast buffet was wonderful ( loved the breads/pastries, meats/cheeses, fruits, etc) and you mustn't miss the experience of having delicious snacks (soups, cheeses, breads, etc) complemented with Czech Moravian wines in the hotel's rustic and enchanting snack cafe. If arriving by plane, we would highly recommend using the hotel's car/taxi service for pickup and dropoff.
Above it all, the kind and warm hospitality of the proprietor, Alexander, and his wonderful staff (Aneta, Jitka and Theresa) made our stay a truly memorable experience.

This hotel is absolutely great.The accomodations are excellent and the service is way above par. I highly recommend this hotel to all my relatives and friends and anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in a very nice city.

Gorgeous and unique hotel, with easy walking distance to everything. Charmingly decorated rooms that manage to feel old but not at all dated. Excellent but completely relaxing candlelit breakfasts in a tiny breakfast area. Lovely visit, very helpful staff. Arranged a tour through the hotel, which was a very good way to get to know the city and overcome language barrier (English is not as commonly spoken as elsewhere in Europe)

We utilised trip advisor to find a boutique hotel in Prague. We came across Hotel Romantik U Raka and read all the reviews. The hotel is just away from the main city centre of Prague and it is only a short walk or tram ride. We like it location as it allowed us to get away from the hussle at the end of the day. The hotel is very small with only a few rooms and our room was fantastic. We like to stay in boutique hotels and I have to say this was perfect. Very well fitted out rooms made you feel like you were experiencing Prague in the most romantic setting. The staff were very helpful.

You are right near Prague Castle which is the main attraction and unbelievable when you see it. The lighting of Prague at night was a highlight and it fed all the way back to the hotel.

We would definately recommend this hotel and stay again when we return.
