“Great hotel and good location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

Really like the hotel atmosphere, the staff are friendly. Room is nice, being welcomed by fruits and mineral water in the room. Bathroom seems to be clean and water pressure is good.

Just too bad no wifi in the room. Otherwise, everything is good. Room not too warm either, since often in Czech, they tend to put the heating quite high.

Dear Valued Guest,

thank you for your feedback, mentioning the staff and a welcome treat.

Let me say that all rooms in Hotel Maximilian are provided with a complimentary wifi. I believe there was some technical error, or the settings on the computer were not correct.

It makes us happy you have enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel. We are looking forward to seeing you again!

Kind regards,

“Will definitely return”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

We stayed at this hotel over the New Year break and found it to be a comfortable base after walking around Prague all day.

Positives:

-Location. Just a few minutes walk from the Old Town Square, peaceful street, small corner shop and restaurants on the same street.
-Breakfast. Great choice of hot and cold food. They also have a separate menu where you can choose hot food to order e.g. eggs benedict. Swedish Muesli was delicious.
-Service. Very friendly, professional and competant. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was dealt with promptly.
-Room Amenities. Large room, DVD player in the room was handy (you can borrow DVD's from reception), nice deep bath and plenty of storage space.
-Complimentary drinks and snacks in reception was a nice touch
-Robes and slippers provided in all rooms

Negatives

-Lack of bar although there is a honesty bar located in one of the communal rooms.
-Carpet stains in the 3rd floor corridor in the Red House made the property feel a bit shabby even though it isn't.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Maximilian and wouldn't hesitate to return on our next visit to Prague.

Dear Valued Guest,

thank you for such a detailed comment. We appreciate you taking time to mention the location, room amenities and breakfast.

Here is Hotel Maximilian we believe that little touches make a big difference. It is truly nice to have a complimentary cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate, with some home-made pastry, after you return from a walk around the city.

As for the corridor floor, let me say all of the carpets in the corridors are about to be changed by the end of the month.

It makes us happy to know you have enjoyed your stay. We are looking forward to seeing you again!

Kind regards,

“Great hotel when in Prague”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

I found the most perfect hotel for when vacationing in Prague. The Maxilmilian Hotel was just what I was looking for. It was a fairly modern designed hotel, extremely clean and very reasonably priced (stay 3 days and get the 4th night free). The location was perfect as we were within walking distance of all the major sites, yet just outside the tourist crowds. It was a 5 minute walk to the center of the old quarter, 5 minutes from the Jewish quarter and 15 minutes from Charles bridge. The people there were extremely helpful, friendly and spoke excellent english. For the price we also got free breakfast (nice buffet) and free wi-fi (very nice bonus). Unless you are looking for a 5 star hotel, this has everything you need. I would definitely go back and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay.

“Excellent, Excellent Service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

I stayed in Maximilian hotel just for a weekend and I have to say that they really make you feel special!
What should be the trademark of the hotel is its Service. Extremely friendly and helpful staff!
I honestly loved the breakfast because I like to get up late and I believe the breakfast was till 12:00pm, which you can turn into brunch :) The best part is that the staff can prepare for you fresh omelets, eggs and so on.
The rooms are comfortable and stylish. I stayed in a single room, so I can't really tell how their suites are. There are a honesty bar and a little library close to each other, which allows you to have a coffee/or a glass of wine and do your work.
Regarding directions, it is not difficult to find, however this is Praga, so the streets are tiny and you can get easily confused in the center. :(
I will recommend it for a business, friends and solo visit.

We thorougly enjoyed our stay at the Maximilian Hotel. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Buffet breakfasts had plenty of choice with quality food. Staff were courteous and helpful. Excellent value .
A good choice for walking to all tourist spots, yet set in a quiet area of the old town.
