Husband and I stayed here 4 nights for a long weekend (Feb 2012). We have Hilton Gold so were given a room on one of the 2 executive floors - the 8th and 9th floors of hotel. We also had access to the executive lounge which is where we ate breakfast. We used the hotel restaurant on our first evening. Good food. Expensive by Czech standards. We arranged for a hotel limo to pick us up from airport as we hadn't been to Prague before and didn't fancy working out which taxi to get etc! But we now know that the AAA taxis (yellow livery) are the best ones to get (in fact, the only ones .... read on!) and cost 50% of the cost of the hotel limo. We didn't really mind as we had a nice car and a helpful driver and he was waiting for us when we arrived etc. So you have to expect to pay extra for that. However, from there on, we would suggest AAA taxis to get around the city. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Pretty much all I ask for! On 2 occasions we got cabs from the street taxi ranks and had a problem on both occasions with the driver trying to charge up to 5 times the AAA rate. On both occasions we paid only what we knew to be the correct rate. This is a problem known to the hotel and to the Prague authorities - who, apparently, have a special police unit to deal with tourists encountering problems. It's an easy walk to the main tourist areas (approx 10 minutes) and this hotel met our requirements for this long weekend break.
