“Exellent stay!!!!!”

We enjoyed very much staying at the boat. The "romantic cabins" are small, but adequate, nice and clean. Beddings and towels wonderful.
Staff is very nice, friendly and helpful -and no language problems.
Restaurant is very good indeed and with an exellent breakfast.
The centre of town (and other places) can be reached very easily by nearby tram and metro.
There is free, supervised parking!!!!
The surroundings are peaceful- and a bit "off" at night when it is dark. We will go back!!!!

“Pleasantly Surprised”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2009

We stayed five nights in this hotel, I was expecting the worst after reading some of the reviews on this and other sites, but I was pleasantly surprised. Firstly the rooms are small but not tiny, there is enough space for a double bed(well two single beds masquerading as a double), two chairs,a little dressing table, a wardrobe, toilet and shower. everything you need for yout stay. The breakfast was edible, very continental (i'm irish and would have liked a fry up) but it wasn't the worst-coffee,tea, croissants, frankfurters and smelly emmental! The lunches and dinner there in the restaurant were absolutley gorgeous though. The hotel is very clean and everybody was very nice, but the receptionists were a bit rude and unhelpful to me personally, they were very nice to my boyfriend as he could speak Czech. That was really the only complaint. Location wise it is a little bit out of the way, but not as far as people make out, there is a tram stop directly outside no .3 I think which brings you to the tube which is only 2 stops to the centre. (bout 10 mins commute)Other than that we got a taxi and that was vey cheap about 8 euro at the most. It's a little bit different thats all.....

“Extremely disappointed!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2009

We booked this hotel on our last day in Prague and experienced one disappointment after the next. Finding the hotel was hard enough and the location is 3km outside of the city center with limited public transport available. The rooms are extremely small and since the airco didn't work during our stay we had to open the window. A nasty surprise came upon us when we came back as the whole room was filled with bugs. In the morning, we found out that most of the breakfast was finished by 9.30am. We even had some trouble with the numbers during checkout... I therefore strongly recommend you NOT to stay in this hotel.

“An interesting experience for one night, but not for longer”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2009

The yacht is quite a long way out of the centre of Prague, although easily reached in 20 minutes by tram. However, to get from tram stop to hotel at night means walking down pitch black stairs by the side of a bridge - we felt there was danger from falling down in the dark and also danger from anyone who might be hiding in the dark.

Originally we booked into one of the hotel's small rooms. Small is the key word here. There was literally no room to move around the bed or even to open a suitcase. Essentially the room is a ship's cabin with a tiny bathroom. There is poor lighting in the bathroom as the bulb is behind your head and it's difficult to see what you are doing whilst shaving.

We decided to move to one of the bigger rooms (at twice the cost) which, was a vast improvement and had clearly had a lot of design input. Down points are that there is no proper shower, only a shower attachment to the bath which you cannot help but spray all over the bathroom (nowhere to attach it on the wall). Also, the aircon seemed to be stuck at 25c which in summer meant hot, sticky and sleepless nights. Also, lots of big spiders wandering about.

The receptionist did not seem interested in customer relations and was unhelpful. On the plus side, the restaurant is very good.

“Gem in the rough...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2009

This hotel is quite nice with great value. Although the location is a bit rough around the edges, It was quite secure, friendly and clean. The food and service was exceptional and as well.
