The JaS is a small, very comfortable, family-operated establishment located in Suchdol, a suburb of Prague. The owner "Maria" and her two sons are warm, friendly, and accommodate guests needs as they arise. Housekeeping is thorough and rooms are refreshed daily. The bed is very firm and comfortable with fresh white duvet cover, but the pillows are very soft. Internet access will be arranged on request, and a new password is available at the front desk every 24 hrs.
The dining room and patio offer an excellent selection of delicious Czech cuisine with extremely generous portions! The price for alcoholic beverages, meals, room service, and your mini-bar are very reasonable, as the Czech Republic has not yet converted to Euro currency...enjoy a cold "pivo" or Pilsner beer for 30 Kč. There's also a grocery store just outside the JaS, with excellent prices for wine, cheese and bread, etc.
Getting to the centre of Prague from the JaS is SO easy! Hop on bus #107 a few steps down the street, (or but #147 across and around the corner), punch your bus ticket in the yellow box on the bus to time validate it, and put it away in your pocket! You're good to go for 90 mins on bus, tram or subway. Get off the bus and transfer to a subway at the Dejvická metro station. Go down the stairs and then down the 'steep' escalator, turn left and wait on the platform for the subway. Get off at Malostranská metro stop if you want to go to Prague Castle, or Staromestská stop if you want to go to the Old Square. Stay on until Mustek if you want to go Vaclavské.
I plan on returning to the JaS anytime I'm in Prague!
