Having read positive reviews, especially about the service, we booked a room in SwissHouse hotel. However we were greatly disappointed already upon our arrival. When checking-in the receptionist lady (who, I think, is the wife of the hotel owner or manager) informed us that the triple rooom we booked was available only for a part of our stay and instead we would get two separate rooms. When we asked for a reason she became very unfriendly and made us clear she didn't care whether we like it or not. Allegedly, someone had booked the room before us. I find this explanation not plausible, because if that would have been true, there would have been no availability for a triple room for the dates we booked on a booking site. Anyways, we agreed that we stay in a triple room until it was available. During our whole stay in this hotel this receptionist was arrogant and unfriendly towards us and treated us as if she made a great favor to us. After couple of days in this hotel we decided to leave earlier and had to pay one extra days rate.
The hotel location is not optimal for those who travel without a car, since it is located in the outskirts of the city. The mineral water springs are located in the city center, which is not a walking distance from the hotel. There is a mineral water spring nearby, however the pavillion is closed during winter.
The breakfast was ok and same every day - fried egg, sausages, ham and cheese, musli, jams, butter, tomatos and cucumbers, smoked fish.
Lunch and dinner had to be ordered one day in advance and were not "a la carte", i.e. there was no choice. The food was not up to our expectations.
Another point, that I find unacceptable in a hotel, is that there was a cat in the hotel, which also had an access to the restaurant area!
The only positive sides of the hotel are clean and spacious rooms and free wi-fi internet. But the service and the treatment by the personnel ruins it all.
