We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The location of this hotel is wonderful. It is in the centre of town, making it very easy to walk around and see the sights.
We arrived by train and used a taxi both ways to the railway station. This part of town is pedestrianized giving it an old world feeling and this, together with the beautifully maintained buildings, make it a delight to just wander around this elegant town. There are a lot of nice restaurants not only around this hotel, but also in the newer part of town, which is not far to walk.
The staff at reception were very helpful and pleasant to deal with.
The breakfast room was cheerily decorated, the staff gracious and the food excellent.
Our double room was large, with comfortable beds and plenty of storage space. It was tastefully decorated and everywhere was very clean and well maintained. Free internet access was available, with reception providing a cable for use in our room. There is an
elevator.

Really one of the better option in city for famile escape with reasonable expenses. Centrally located , friendly priced with good home atmosphere. Perfect breakfest.

We stayed at Hotel Palatin for 3 nights in mid-July. Our room was nr. 1, with windows facing the backyard wall. No view whatsover. It doesn't sound so good, but for us it was perfect! The weather was terribly hot outside but our room stayed nice and cool and we could even keep the windows open at night, without any noise coming from outside, which was unbelievable considering the central location. The room was very clean and so was the bathroom, which also had a window. The breakfast was pretty basic, but everything was fresh and it didn't leave us hungry.

The lady at the reception was extremely friendly and helpful. Also other staff members were very nice and always smiling, which made us feel welcomed. Overall Hotel Palatin is a very nice little hotel with excellent value for money.

Hotel Palatin has very nice rooms (though sometimes a bit small); bathrooms are very spacious. Very clean; breakfast also good. Only the reception area could use some uplift. However, you cannot park anywhere close since this hotel is in the pedestrian area. Closest available parking is either on the hill opposite or in Hotel Thermal. The pedestrian area in front of the hotel is currently being renovated; so still some noise but should be finished any time soon.
