I was really surprised by this place. It only cost about £23 and for that I got a twin room to myself. The room was nice and great, very spacious and the hotel was in a great location. It is on the hill so very unfit people may get tired walking up and down. Then again it’s a hilly area and most places in karlovy vary are on the hillside.

They have free internet and the staff are very very helpful and friendly. Reception is not open for long (I think it was about 10-6 when I stayed there). The breakfast which was included in the cost of the room was not great.

Overall I loved this place. Great value. Definitely recommended.

We stayed at Hotel Nike in Karlovy Vary in September 2008. The hotel was not very full. It was very difficult to find and had to call the hotel twice to get directions. The front desk staff was probably the most friendly and accommodating that I have found. She spoke very good English and was very helpful.

The rooms are very large, like a suite. You can tell the hotel is a leftover from the former soviet union as the carpets need to be replaced and the furniture was old. The room was very clean, but definitely needs updating. Also our door latch did not work so we just held the door closed using the key lock. The breakfast was fine and one of the only places we stayed that actually had brewed coffee instead of instant.

For the money, it was ok and close to the center of town.

Lovely hotel. Simple stuff and that is all that is advertised. Really nice staff. Very clean. I went in May and it was brimming with people. I guess the May holidays or something. You may want to cough up for the Hotel Pupp but the Nike is in a great location in a lovely town. Great value for money. Great ready when you drink the local spring water though!!

We stay in hotel Nike a week @ 23 july, hotel was half occupied & our flat was on 3rd floor. Windows view to the forest. Humid & fresh air makes colder in room about 3-5C than outside. Breakfast was simple with different fruits everyday. We take two times hair-drier & iron from the reception. There's no problems at all. The desk staff was very kind and helpful!
