Agree with all the other revews, except was ripped off by the hotel for "free internet".
Richmond provides access only to dial-up internet and advertises it as "free", however they charge you for dial-up number your computer calls to access the internet. When I asked the staff at the front desk if I have to pay for Dial-up - they said "No, it is free", but at the check out they presented me with a phone bill equivalent to $400 USD with the number I never called. When I requested an explanation the front desk reply was: "Oh, this is a dial-up number", so when the hotel advertises that dial up is free - it is misleading the guests and in other words is a big lie. I cannot recommend Parkhotel Richmond to any business traveler who needs to have an internet access. More, such practices do violate ethical code of conduct and stripe the hotel of any credibility.

This was our 1st ever trip to Karlovy Vary so we chose the hotel based on TripAdvisor.com reviews and we were not disappointed!
This is a very nice 4 star hotel, very large room + bathroom, great exit to the balcony with very nice view of the park+river. This hotel has it's own mineral water spring (Official No.21) as well as a number of medical options and a cosmetology cabinet. We had a few meals at the restaurant, the menu was simple but the dishes were surprisingly tasty!
I would recommend having a rental car if you are going to stay at hotel as it's in the quiet part of town, fair bit to walk to reach the centre.
We came down here with 5 month old kid and a cat (not the quietest family ;) and the reception was very welcoming!

Definitely going to come back again later on in 2010!!!

We stayed in this hotel during the Karlovy Vary film festival. The price in this peak period was extremely friendly not needing to say they had availability. I was really surpriced by the surroundings. You don´t find many like that in czech hotels. Rooms were clean and quiet, the service was above standard. I also recommend for families as the garden is great for kids. Next time I am going to bring my wife and our daughter out there. Overall satisfaction with this hotel.

My girlfriend and I just returned from Karlovy Vary and had a wonderful experience at the Park Hotel Richmond. After contacting them via E-mail our inquiry was retuned promptly explaining the different packages available. We opted for a 2 night package for him and for her. It included 2 nights lodging, 3 pre-determined spa tratments, and 6 meals in the dining room. The package was $140 Euros each and included all listed above.

The spa is located about a 7-10 minute walk from the spa center, Instead of being on a busy street. We were wrapping up an 8 day trip to Berlin and Prague and were looking for a quiet romantic time, so this was a plus. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful and parking was available for $3 Euros per night. The parking lot also had a 24 hour guard and you did not have to give him your keys.

Upon out arrival, the staff was very attentive and most of them spoke english well enough to communicate. The woman at the front desk explained everything about our stay and all of our spa procedures were booked for the next morning and early afternoon(with the option to change the times if we liked) . She also had a late appointment for a message booked for me upon our arrival (I was a little sore after the drive). It was excellent and a 45 minute message was $22 Euros.

We are 27 and 25, and the were definatelly the youngest guests by a long shot, but that was no big deal. All the spa treatments were excellent. My package included a full message, pearl bath, and hydroxer. Additional treatments ranged from $15 Euros to $25 Euros. All of the treatment areas seemed very new and were extremely clean. My girlfriends package included a full message, pearl bath, and facial.

The included food was buffet style, and excellent. Very fresh and there was a huge variety. The bar was very beautiful and the prices were excellent. $2.50 US for a .5L pilsner, and about $2.75 for spirits. Wine was excellent with a good selection and a decent bottle of Czech cab was about $13.00 w/dinner. Definatelly more than more remote areas of the Czech republic, but still a great value.

Rooms were lovely and everything in this hotel was extremely clean and well maintained. I would definatelly suggest the Park Hotel Richmond, and after seeing the other hotels in town (which were also very nice), I was happy with our choice . I also took pictures.
