However, somewhat away from the center of Karlovy Vary, the hotel is of a good value. A double-room (with extra bed for a kid) was conveniently big enough. A balcony is good for late nightcap. Generally neat and reflecting its past-times glory the hotel could need some renovation outside.
Swimming pool could be crowded with elederly ladies and families with children, so don't expect to have a good swim. Very beautiful park adjoining the hotel on a slope of a mountain gives a superb possibility for a nice stroll before sleep. Lots of Russian-speaking guests. Nice terrace with friendly service and unexpensive drinks and desserts from the bar enables excellent relaxation after a day at Karlovy Vary.
