Overall, the hotel and the staff were excellent. The rooms are very large (15 foot ceilings!!), and very quaint. There was a nice tea service laid out, with many kinds of tea and crackers on our arrival - just the right thing after our drive from Munich. The balcony rooms are an extra cost (not a small one either), but travel isn't cheap, and the view certainly made up for it. Excellent beds, lots of room in the shower, a safe, and good wifi. Breakfast was well sorted, with lots of choices including some local specialties. We didn't eat dinner, but that was because there is just so much choice in the town, vs anything wrong with the hotel. Certainly, the menu had lots of choices, and we saw lots of diner's during the evening.

The staff was always helpful. The guy who checked us in gave us all we needed to know about the town, the spa (he did the booking at the spa across the road), and he answered various other questions quietly, quickly, and without drama. Then he switch to German, then again to Russian, and back to English. I really should learn another language.

As others have mentioned, the rooms and entrance are a bit dated, and it is fully priced (although quite competitive vs the other hotels that Tripadvisor rates highly). But given all that, you won't be left lacking for anything.

A very nice, really romantic, newly renovated hotel. Located in the center of the city near the Collonade, has own Spa (but for Spa we recommend you to goto other hotel's Spa coz this one is more expensive but not better). Rooms are spacious, clean and bright. Breakfast is more than good, very elegant variaty of food (smoked salmon, different cheeses, many salads and appetizers, hot dishes from eggs and ham, fruits and vegetables and so on). Service of the hotel is very good also, reception is very helpful and friendly. Free wi-fi in the room. So wish to come there again once!

i was staying this hotel almost 3months ago. but i'm still remembering about they kind and nice equipment. espacially, shower boths and bed was really comfortable for me and my friend and then breakfast was gorgeous for us. because, we were tired for trip so that time we need fresh food and warm coffee and desert ~ i'm korean, so my English is not perfect however i can speak to Hotel Romance stuff, was really thanks a lot, i miss karlovy vary nice landscape and healthful sparking water, i can't try spa so want to go there again in the future i hope meet nice stuff again anyway, i'm uploading few picture form hotel romance~!! see you soon my hotel romance~!!

Excellent location, incredible breakfast, across the street from the #1 spa in town, helpful multilingual staff.
