Our family of 3 decided to spend a week in Rajasthan in the 1st week of November 2011, and this was our second stop out of our 3 stops. I'd just like to being by saying that being in the hospitality industry and in the service end of the sector, I expect outstanding service anywhere I go and will emphasise that Samsara on the whole did not disappoint at all. The service was what I like to call "anticipatory service", its when the staff get you what you want without having to have asked for it, and that's that sort of thing that impresses me and the staff at Samsara went that extra mile to make sure our stay at the resort was absolutely fantastic. Being the weekend after the diwali season, it was fairly busy, but that didn't impact on the level of service and it lived up to the reviews and reputation that I had heard, before we made the booking there, in fact I would add that it out did itself.
The attention to detail was absolutely fantastic, having called and told them that we were on our way to Dechu from Jodhpur, the front office staff picked from the time of the call that we had left after lunch and had organised tea by the waterfront area of the restaurant upon arrival. During our 2nights/3days stay, the head chef would come and see us (also noticed the same service with other guests) and ask if we would like anything specially made, if there were any local and traditional dishes that we would like to try out and not to mention, the food was fantastic, and whilst we waited for our food, the F&B staff who (restaurant staff) were well presented, well groomed and many also spoke English (medium) kept us engaged in conversation so the waiting time between ordering and arriving of the meal didn't look much.
The rooms we stayed in were very well presented, all the best amenities in there and most importantly clean, but all those little things came together in beautiful harmony to create a wonderful and very pleasant stay.
I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who is looking to just get out of a a busy schedule and relax, definitely looked like an ideal place to hold a grand wedding or a reception, weekend breaks or romantic getaways.
Overall had a wonderful time and like to thank the entire team at Samsara for a wonderful stay.
Room Tip: get the room with the views of the sand dunes.
