“An Oasis in the Desert!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

Samsara is an amazing resort, with the backdrop of a huge sand dune just behind it. It feels like somewhere you go to be spoilt, and we didnt want to leave. Staff treated us wonderfully. We went on a dune safari and they also took just the 2 of us onto the dunes at night for a wonderful magical dinner - a real highlight of our trip. Would have loved to stay an extra day.

Room Tip: New property so I think all rooms would be good

“Paradise in the Desert”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

Our family of 3 decided to spend a week in Rajasthan in the 1st week of November 2011, and this was our second stop out of our 3 stops. I'd just like to being by saying that being in the hospitality industry and in the service end of the sector, I expect outstanding service anywhere I go and will emphasise that Samsara on the whole did not disappoint at all. The service was what I like to call "anticipatory service", its when the staff get you what you want without having to have asked for it, and that's that sort of thing that impresses me and the staff at Samsara went that extra mile to make sure our stay at the resort was absolutely fantastic. Being the weekend after the diwali season, it was fairly busy, but that didn't impact on the level of service and it lived up to the reviews and reputation that I had heard, before we made the booking there, in fact I would add that it out did itself.

The attention to detail was absolutely fantastic, having called and told them that we were on our way to Dechu from Jodhpur, the front office staff picked from the time of the call that we had left after lunch and had organised tea by the waterfront area of the restaurant upon arrival. During our 2nights/3days stay, the head chef would come and see us (also noticed the same service with other guests) and ask if we would like anything specially made, if there were any local and traditional dishes that we would like to try out and not to mention, the food was fantastic, and whilst we waited for our food, the F&B staff who (restaurant staff) were well presented, well groomed and many also spoke English (medium) kept us engaged in conversation so the waiting time between ordering and arriving of the meal didn't look much.
The rooms we stayed in were very well presented, all the best amenities in there and most importantly clean, but all those little things came together in beautiful harmony to create a wonderful and very pleasant stay.

I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who is looking to just get out of a a busy schedule and relax, definitely looked like an ideal place to hold a grand wedding or a reception, weekend breaks or romantic getaways.

Overall had a wonderful time and like to thank the entire team at Samsara for a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: get the room with the views of the sand dunes.

“Outstanding Experience!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011

We were at samsara dechu and would to like to share our outstanding experience. The property is exquisite ,the room ambiance is very contemporary and there is a fusion between heritage culture of Rajasthan with modern & up market amenities. The USP of the property is landscaping, swimming pool & architecture complimented with sand dunes.....The staff attitude is excellent, the restaurant food is exceeds expectations. The house keeping is very good. The best time to visit between Oct. to march. Would recommend must visit for travelers in Rajasthan..

Room Tip: Pool facing villas.

“A treat for all 5 senses”

The resort, in the backdrop of sand dunes and in middle of nowhere, was an unplanned stop for us. While driving from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur, while looking for lunch stop, we saw the resort's drive-in direction & just took our car in. We all instantly fell in love with the place - the subtle fragrance of Champa & Parijata all over the place, the beautiful landscaping, dense greenery, lovely little water bodies, the serenity of the place.. the place was too good not to stay over.
The rooms are all very luxurious. The sit-out of our room opened in front of the sand-dunes and were flanked by a Champa tree on one side & dense Parijatas on the other. The rooms and the bathrooms are very modern and extremely well appointed.
The restaurant is excellent - both in terms of ambience, service & food quality. It's an actual 5-star quality. The swimming pool and the surrounding seating area is lovely!!
The sand dune jeep safari that was part of the package was a delight and extremely memorable exprience. Just the previous day we had done a dune safari at Khori. But this was a very different experience with mutiple sand dips & high-tea organized in-between.
Resort Manager Mr. Praveen Pathak and his entire team are extremely courteous and helpful.

Stay here for a true royal exprience!!

Room Tip: Go for the villas.. their sit-out opens into sand-dunes.
