“Fine hotel, great location, excellent service!”

Stayed here one night, two double rooms. First thing that stands out is the warm welcome from the owner Salvador, very friendly and helpful in providing tips for things to do in and around Ronda.
Location very central, just 200m from the plaza de toros and directly besides the main street of the mercadillo neighborhood.

Rooms are clean and spacious, excellent value for your money. Would definitely recommend staying here on your visit to Ronda.

“simple but clean room, centrally located, a bit cold for the season.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

I did not directly choose to stay at this hotel, but was rather redirected to it by the owners of Hotel Morales, who apparently closed for the winter season and have an agreement with the owners of San Cayetano. Hence, I cannot comment on the value for money, as I paid the original price of Hotel Morales (€35/night), which is one-star, whereas San Cayetano is a two-star hotel. I stayed for only one night, but it turned out to be a good find: it is centrally located (although that is not hard to get in a small town like Ronda) and the rooms were spacious and very clean. Rooms are also quiet despite facing the street thanks to the double-glazing windows. The staff were very kind and helpful. There is a wifi connection but it was not working when I stayed, so I could not access the internet. An important downside during winter is that rooms are very cold. Although there is A/C in the room, its heating mode didn't seem able to cope with the cold night, even though we kept it on at full power!

“Basic but nice and charming, good value”

We stayed for one night. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. We had a very nice little balcony facing the street. The bathroom was clean (no hair dryer), however previous guests had obviously used the soap dish for an ash tray. It should have been removed from the room, not reused. Still, everything was clean and the receptionist was very nice and helpful. The location is excellent! There are dozens of bars and restaurants nearby. You can park your car for free in a large public parking not too far from the hotel. If you don't get a spot there you can park in a garage for (if I remember correctly) 8-10 Euro/day. We found a spot on the street around the corner. Breakfast is served in a bar/restaurant across the street and consists of coffee/tea, juice, toast, butter and jam. Nothing for buffet lovers, but not too bad. The café con leche was extremely good.

“Great location, clean, semi-charming, good value”

We were quite pleased with the room we got for 55€. While not brand new, everything was quite clean, in good repair, and somewhat tastefully decorated. The location was excellent-- right in the downtown without being on top of the tourists (i.e. no noise to speak of). A 5 min walk from the sites. We would stay here again.

“Simple clean and good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2011

A basic hotel which was very clean. My husband likes a more boutique decor but no complaints as the although a little dated in style the room was in excellent condition, no nasties in the bathroom (my usual peeve is mould). The style rather suited the area and hotel as well.

The hotel is a few minutes walk to the main attractions (the bull ring and bridge). We got the train to Ronda and the bus back and walked from the hotel (hand luggage only) on both occasions.

For some reason Ronda didn't really thrill me (I know it should as the view are gorgeous). It wasn't particularly busy and crowded as I had expected so that was a plus. I thought prices were high and that many staff of local establishments were going through the motions, a bit like we were on a tourist conveyer belt and service neither good or particularly friendly. However, the staff at San Cayetano were very pleasant and I would certainly recommend this hotel for a budget stay in Ronda.
