If you want to feel special, please visit Las Piletas. Elisenda and Pablo are one of the best hosts we ever met. The place is beautiful, clean and very authentic. All the rooms are on the ground floor and the views of the surroundings are breath taking. This is really a place to relax. Most days of the week Pablo creates a beautiful dinner for a very reasonable price. Otherwise Elisenda will advise very good places to eat.
If you want to relax and enjoy the inlands of Andalucia this is the place to be.

I stayed four nights at this gem of a place.
It is beautifully situated just outside Ronda and with easy access to scenic trips in Grazalema area and visits to all the small towns around Ronda. The view from the cortijo is great; golden hills with cows grassing and fields of sunflowers.
The cortijo itself is a perfect blend of genuine history and a true sense of details and charm. You simply feel at home at once and inspired by the surroundings.
The room was comfortable and clean and decorated with such a great taste and beautiful colors.
The swimmingpool and terrasses were great places to relax and play with the children.
The hosts, Elisienda and Pablo, were the best you can imagine. Elisienda gave good advice on what to see in Andalucia and Pablo made the best food you can imagine. Make sure to have dinner here - it is just so relaxing and feels like a real pamper to sit in the courtyard and indulge in Pablo's tapas dinner. We also had their lunch bags several times - so we could picknic in the lounge chairs near the pool in between our trips in the area.
I cannot recommend this cortijo enough and will definitely go back again. A week at Las Piletas is total relaxation for the soul. I also have a dream of filling up the whole cortijo (8 rooms I think?) with friends and family for the best holiday you can imagine.

This is clearly one of the best little hotels we have ever stayed at... and we have been around quite a lot!

The quietness and tranquility of this place is outstanding, yet it lies centrally in a good distance to the big cities Sevilla, Cordoba and Granada, aswell as to the beaches of the Costa del Sol. Apart from that you have several great hiking trails in the area, some of them with breathtaking views.

If I would have have to name something, which was not perfect (I hate to give the maximum points in every single category)... it would have to be the fairly close proximity of the road to Ronda, which disturbs the absolut quietness of the hotel and the gardens around it. But still, it is a few hundred meters away and there is very little traffic on it, so that you barely notice it. So this is really just complaining on a very high level.

The last thing that needs mentioning is the absolute warmth and hospitality of the young family that owns and runs the place. They almost made us feel as being part of this little family!

We have just spent four lovely days at Las Piletas and this is a delightful spot for a relaxing holiday. Elisenda is a charming hostess with a fund of sensible advice and she has created such a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Her husband Pablo is an excellent cook and provided gourmet evening meals. The cortijo has been tastefully modernised and they have retained the original features which make it such an attractive complex. The setting is outstanding; utter peace in beautiful countryside. This is an ideal spot for exploring the fantastic surrounding country and an ideal spot for walking. We hope to return. David McNamara
