I may have been a little bit harsh here by giving this a 4/5 overall score but I did feel that it was a little over-priced to deserve the full 5/5. The place itself is lovely and the hosts are fantastic; friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The rooms are lovely though we did think that our bathroom was slightly basic for the cost. The private terraced areas were a lovely touch and the hotel is great for getting away from it all. A car really is a must for the area and Ronda is a 10 minute drive away. The continental breakfasts were plentiful though a little marred by the swarm of bees that day which obviously can't be helped. Overall, a lovely relaxing stay.

Surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, this hotel is approximately 10 minutes drive from the centre of Ronda. The rooms are lovely and peaceful, the food 1st rate (you can arrange transport to/from Ronda to explore other restauarants but we were there for a week and found no reason to leave!), the views from the terrace delightful and so evocative of Andalucia but it is the staff and management that make this such a wonderful place to stay.

An honesty sets the laid-back tone but the care and efficiency, not to mention the smiles, shown by all who work and run the hotel shine through. Christina, Pom and Frank really know their stuff and nothing is too much trouble.

A lovely swimming pool in the gardens is an added benefit.

Guests can select CD's from a large selection - great in your room or in your car as you explore this lovely region of Spain.

I can't recommend this hotel too highly. If you get the chance, go.

The Hotel la Fuente de la Higuera sums up everything we look for when choosing a hotel for a real holiday or long weekend break.

Allthough we like trying new places we keep on returning to La Fuente when we are in need for a real rest, feel like being treated well and we do not want to take a chance with another place. Here we get what we are looking for. Beauty, friendlyness and excellent food.

The rooms, the hotel and surroundings are very beautiful and there is a lot of attention to detail. Every year there seems to be more luxury.

This year we were surprised by a gorgeous copper bathtub in "our" bathroom. The owners and team are very attentative, friendly and caring from the start to the minute you leave.

The food is fresh, organic and delicious with a pretty presentation, including the vegetarian dish is fine-dining.

This is a guaranteed feel -good holiday where you are treated as an individual; if not as a long lost friend. I am out of superlatives so in short: we will be back.

I miss this hotel very much! Its location is beautifully surrounded by olive trees, gorgeous views of the valley and a short drive to the city center in Ronda. The rooms are large and each have their own private patio. The honesty bar is such a great idea. My husband and I would spend the day exploring Ronda and the white villages, then we would go back to the hotel to swim, and relax on our patio. It was perfect! Definitely have dinner at the restaurant, the food is delicious! Loved breakfast as well. I hope to be able to go back one day!
