An old building with a rather garish modern interior. Not as much character as most paradors. The staff are not so friendly either - I guess they have a lot of tourists in Ronda. We were on a special half board deal so didn't worry about the food prices, but they were pretty high. Parking is 21 euros, so join the amigo scheme before you go and get it free! No signs that we saw to help find it, just follow Officina de Turismo and Centro Historico. It was very cold and rained and snowed during our stay, but we were cosy in our room, with a balcony and a corner view of the famous gorge.

We were "warned" that this is a good Parador. And indeed it was! The location is definitely stunning, and described by many reviewers. We had a room towards the West on the 2nd floor, overlooking the valley as well as the gorge. We were also very happy with the hotel team, as we forgot a bag with my computer and could pick it up next day. If time allows, don't miss to go over the bridge to the other side. There are nice people too. The restaurant facing the gorge on the same side as the Parador even allowed us to enter the closed restaurant for shooting some photos.

This is a relatively new Parador. It is built right upon the gorge and enjoys spectacular views from the rooms and many of the public areas.

We were pleasantly surprised to be offered an upgrade to one of their deluxe rooms - upgrades are always welcome. The room was very comfortable and spacious and enjoyed excellent views of the old town and the gorge. The staff were cheery and most helpful in answering our questions.

We had dinner and breakfast at the Parador. The food was fine, what I would call good hotel standard cooking. My only grumble being the erratic service - for several minutes at dinner and again at breakfast the dining room was devoid of staff. Other tables as well as ours were seeking the absent staff.

As far as location goes this Parador is just so central. it has its own parking, which in peak season must be a real plus. Other parking options looked to be some distance away.

We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.

We booked the Golden Days deal (available to anyone over 50) for a single night just after Xmas and expected to get a back room with no view - but we had a wonderful view of the Gorge. The room was excellent - as we have found in all the other paradors we've visited. Because I'd joined as a Friend I found I could have free parking - definitely worth it - and I should get points towards another stay. Doesn't cost anything to become a Friend. Spent lots of time in the sun and ate in the restaurant in the evening - but this wasn't really up to the standard of the accommodation and was quite expensive. However there are masses of local restaurants to choose from within a few minutes of the parador. Excellent place to enjoy the whole of this lovely place.
