La Rondena, tucked away, in a side street, pretty much opposite the bullring, this little hotel offers great comfort at a reasonable price.
The staff were attentive, the breakfast was good, the room was cosy and modern.
Very much in the rural style.
They are a day restaurant as well just outside, under a canopy, but the street is
remarkably quiet. (No bulls running outside your hotel. Ole! Shame.)
We had our own key to the front gate after seven in the evening as there was
no receptionist from then. (I suppose it depends how many guests they have).
Not many when we were there.
Any problems they referred us to their sister Hotel, just down the
road called El Poeta de Ronda, which is superb as well.
The town prices were very reasonable and there is lots to see for a short trip.
The views from Ronda over the tajo (the bridge) was superb.
You can easily get here from Malaga airport, by train to Fuengirola and then round the corner from the train station is the bus station that takes you to Ronda.
The trip to Ronda from Fuengirola takes about two and a half hours because it goes to Marbella and then up the mountains.
From Ronda you can get to Seville and from Seville pretty much anywhere in Spain by coach.
We were caught in a terrific thunder and lightning storm high up in the mountains which is unusual for summer.
Apart from that enjoyed this relaxing stay, and everyone there seems so relaxed and the girls are astoundingly good looking.
I think the wife agrees?
