We went there just to have breakfast, we live in Puerto Rico so it was easy for us to get there after calling them. The place is really nice and it has a beautiful mountain and ocean view. We got there at 9am on Easter Sunday and we were seated right away, we didn't want to wait for a balcony table. We sat inside and could see the ocean from there. The staff is super friendly without going overboard. Our waitress explained the menu in detail. I had a classic american breakfast: eggs, bacon, toast and sand dollar sized pancakes, all very tasty. My husband had The Full Monty: eggs, toast, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms and potatoes. The fresh squeezed lemonade was awesome. I just wish it wasn't 3 hours away from my house. See pics :)

Our stay at The English Rose brought what would have been a lovely yet average beach vacation to a new level of holiday perfection. The rooms, the view, the food, the friendliness, the comfort, the cleanliness, the quiet- all of it combined made our trip to Rincon perfect. If we were to return to Rincon again we would without hesitation stay at The English Rose, and we will be recommending it to any friends who are headed that way.
Returning home has been hard enough, a vacation ending is always a drag, but we really miss waking up to the sunshine and flowers, a view of the ocean, a dip in the pool, and a delicious breakfast which entailed awesome coffee, fresh juices, and the most delicious potatoes we have ever eaten (bubble and squeak!).
Go to Rincon! Go to The English Rose!

Well what can I say at first when we got to The Rose, we were kind of skeptic about it. Since the road was really small and kind of worried us since we were going to get back really late from a party at the brewery in Mayaguez. But we decided that to give it a chance, thank goodness we did. The place is great, for what you pay you get free breakfast (Tip is not included), free wifi, free parking, full kitchen equipment with utensils. In other words, all you need is your clothes and food supplies if your want to cook (There's a large variety of places to eat ). Also before I forget the view is incredible and at night you can see a bunch of stars. The only regret we have is that we couldn't spend more time in The Rose, we looked for a place to stay and crash after the party but it ended up being much more than that. This is a great option to consider is your staying in Rincon or around the area.

First time visiting Rincon and I selected the English Rose based on the many positive reviews it received. It definitely lived up to my expectations. What a lovely bed & breakfast situated in the hills. We stayed in the large Chester Suite, which is a large apartment that occupies the entire third floor. The decor is simple and pleasant. Rooms are stocked with plenty of towels and basic toiletries. The views are wonderful. The suite overlooks the pool and behind that is the hills and then the ocean. Lovely during the day and at night. Very quiet except for the weekend breakfast service and even then all you hear is a little bit of customers' chatter. The breakfast is also fantastic. There are many creative options and even I, a difficult vegetarian, filled my stomach each morning with fresh fruits, fresh juice and delicious fresh bread. The waitstaff are also great...very friendly and service-oriented. Guests are always a priority at breakfast so waiting times are always minimal. The location is very convenient...it's a short 5 min drive to all of the beaches. The roads in the hills are a little difficult to navigate (lots of steep climbs and windy roads) so getting to the English Rose, at least the first time, is definitely a bit challenging...but we were used to it after the first day. The owners, Ruth and Jethro, are lovely...they pay attention to small details and it really shows. I went to Rincon to take surf lessons but the waves were unexpectedly too big for a beginner like me so I will definitely stay here when i make a return trip. Thanks for a lovely time.
