“Relaxing...and was a GREAT FAMILY vacation!”

Relaxing, how can't it be good for a family. It isn't disney (thank god) its a laid back Inn on a beach. There are spectacular sunsets. Quiet & scenic patio for meals (with an outside kitchen/grill). A beautiful garden area with a fish pond, that was one of my 6 yr old son's vacation highlights to feed them. Gail, Angel and Rosi were are helpful, welcoming, and friendly. (From the initial phone call/email, they were prompt & organized) I enjoyed the snorkeling to see the beautiful tropical fish- right in front of the Inn's beach! My son enjoyed playing ball, making sand castles, swimming, taking afternoon walks down beach, where we had fruit drinks and swam on their beach, as well. Coconut Palms was a quiet and friendly, which he read books, and played cards with other guests - It was one of our favorite vacations, and we look forward to returning. By the way, we had an awesome shower, with new tile & Big shower head, our room was cheerful and clean, one day there was a leak in the bathroom, and it was fixed Immediately! The parking was never an issue, and I think the Inn was full. I don't care for cats - and it was fine - my son has allergies, and there was never an issue. After, arriving to PR, we needed a nebulizer, Gail even offered to look for one at her home, and directed us to the least expensive options (Major Drug Store and Dept store locations)
I believe this is a good place for any age to relax.

Room Tip: There were reviews on the rooms, and when you call for availability, I found them to be honest in th...

“Coconut Palms Inn- Rincon PR”

My wife and I just returned from our third trip to Puerto Rico and second to Coconut Palms Inn. The accomadations are clean and very comfortable. We like the Parrot room with a full kiotchen and a very large oceanfront balcony. We even used the fully stocked BBQ area to cook chicken and steaks. The weather was fantastic, only turning on the air conditioner on at night to sleep. Otherwise we had the ocean breezes blowing through the open windows. We did several day trips (San Juan, Bacardi Rum Tour, Ponce, San Germain, Cabo Rojo , and the Camuy Caverns) The BAcardi Rum tour is free and only recommended if going to San Juan. Cabo Rojo lighthouse is being renovated but is still worth it. The view on the bluff is magnificent. The Cave tour was our first time and was our favourite. Arecibo is closeby, so don't miss it either. The Beach at Rincon is clean, quiet and has great surfing a short drive away. Gail the owner has rescued several cats and 2 of them in particular were quite friendly. I highly recomend Coconut Palms Inn. The price is very affordable and worht the money. We found the best way to get to PR was to fly into San Juan and to fly from Aguadilla on the way home. This way you do not have to drive 2.5 hours in the middle of the night for early morning flights.

Room Tip: Biggest room is the Parrot room. Oceanfront with large covered balcony and full kitchen. Coqui room...

Wow, i love to travel and you KNOW you have found a special place when the owner says " SHOOT, you 're leaving tomorrow.......my husband and i wanted to have dinner with y'all"!
great location, ample size rooms, cleaning staff terrific and the resident cats had very nice
manners. Water warm, great and helpful staff and the most relaxing place I have EVER
stayed. Thanks to Gail and her crew, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Rincon.....

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms provide more quiet space. All rooms are terrific for different reasns.

“Great place, but not for family”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

The staff; friendly. Laid back.
The location: central, on the beach!
The garden: amazing
The cat: lots of them! But, I like cats. If you don't like cats, don't stay here!
Beach view: to die for
Beach access: right on beach. Great beach chair to haul onto sand.
Pool; nope.
Parking: not good, on the street; noisy at times, dangerous to cross
Room: dingy, run down, rather nasty. Mismatched furniture. I think other room were probably nicer. Shower was like being pissed on by an old man. Tiny soap.
Good points: lots of clean towels. Close to everything.
Note: Had the smallest room which was pretty large, but musty, depressing, opened onto street, had to keep re-entering inn to do anything, no real windows to get fresh air. Ceiling fans slowest ever seen.

Bed was soggy, torture chamber.

I would go back, but not with family. Best for couples on a budget, surfer types, lone wolves. The place needs some investment, sprucing up.

Room Tip: Look at room before you book, and don't listen to anything on the website
