came to rincon to surf. beautiful beach next to hotel. left for surfing at 8 am, came back at 5 pm each day. first two nights, screaming / crying baby in next room was clearly audible in our rooms. every evening, there is a live band that plays EXTREMELY loudly until about 930 PM. You can't sleep through this band - so when you come home exhausted ready for a nap, you can't sleep. Thursday night karaoke night - just as loud as the band, but listening to uber-loud karaoke while you're trying to sleep should really have made it into Dante's Inferno as a ring of hell. on cleanliness - first night, found cockroach in bathroom. the bathroom shower is reminiscent of college dorms. cost from airport to hotel (taxi) is $50 from aguadilla, no free airport shuttle. no phone in our room. we paid $167/night plus taxes during the last week of december (high season)... unless you're spending $80/night, there is no reason to stay here.

if you are staying in rincon, go with a B&B like the english rose (romantic) or boarding house (surfers).

the property is beautiful and well-maintained. The staff attentive and responsive. Free coffee in the am was a plus for me, but no other coffee available during the day, so you have to go to the bakery down the road. Great location right on beach with sunset view! I love everything about this hotel except the rooms. The room smelled musty and the floors were dirty. I actually cleaned the floor myself with Lysol wipes. The beds have those old 1970-ish bedspreads and bedskirts which really grossed me out and the bottom of the bedskirt was dirty. It is such a beautiful space, it's a shame the rooms are so outdated and icky. If anyone from the hotel is reading this, you must update your linens, pillows and get rid of those awful bedspreads and old amoires. Other than that, I love this place!

The beach is great: long and with fine sand. It is safe for swimming. The hotel provides beach chairs in case you want to relax in the beach.
The hotel is clean and the service was very good, fast and customer oriented.

This is a first class property located in a beautiful beach. Unfortunately, the service is atrocious and the amenities are third class.
1.We had to wait 30 minutes at check-in since the two attendants were busy “typing letters”.
2.The hotel room smelled like cheap car air freshener and the room phone didn’t work, so we had to switch rooms.
3.There were no beach towels available.
4.During dinner, nobody knew what the age for the children’s menu was, so after a group consult; they assumed it was 10 or 11 years old.
5.The food was good, but the waitress didn’t know the difference between wine brands and wine types.
6.The beds, pillows and linens are very cheap.
7.The music in the grounds is too loud and of bad taste.
8.They called for a wake-up call 20 minutes late!
Probably they pay their employees very little and they don't train them properly, In any event, since the price per room is on the high-end ($150-$200), tourists that go there will not return. Unfortunately, I predict that Rincon of the Seas will probably end up bankrupt and hopefully a big chain like Hilton or Sheraton could take over and manage it properly. In the meantime, avoid this Hotel.
