Unless you want to pay $200 a night for a moldy, shabby room with a spectacular view of the garbage heap out back. We arrived here at about 6:00 PM on a Monday to this ghost town of a hotel. There was no staff on site--no manager, no security. The front gates of the hotel had no locks (even though every other place in town seemed to be locked up tight.) We found our way to our room, which didn't have as much as a bottle of water to buy. No instructions for finding an ice machine, no info on a wi-fi password, no way to get a bottle opener or a glass, no furniture or umbrella on the outdoor balcony we paid extra for. Continental breakfast the next morning consisted of a pitcher of unnamed fruit juice with a small colony of flies buzzing around it, the worst coffee we had while we were in Puerto Rico, and some stale bread or waffles you could toast in a crusty old toaster oven. No fruit, no yogurt, no fresh food. The staff (except for one nice bartender) was surly, unhelpful, and we seriously considered leaving if we wouldn't have lost $800 doing so. We aren't high maintenance, but for $200 a night, we thought we should get a two wash clothes (we had to keep stealing an extra one from the laundry) and a bottle of water. Granted, the ocean front location is beautiful. Watch out for used condoms in the parking lot as you walk to the beach. Casa Is-LAME-a was what we ended up calling this place. Stay somewhere else.
