My husband and I had the fortune of staying with Luis at the Villa Orleans over this past Christmas.
We felt at home right away. With it's tranquil setting and the genuine hospitality of Luis, we knew we had picked the right place to stay. It was very private, peaceful and just what we needed to relax and
enjoy ourselves. My husband went snorkeling one day with Luis's son, Tsunami, and they had a blast. We boogie boarded on the beach right in front of the Villa. The pool is awesome, and we spent many nights star gazing from the balcony. If you get a chance, stay here!

An impromptu destination wedding was believed to be a fiasco in terms of scheduling and planning. My fiancée and I decided that instead of a cold/wet November wedding in Boston, we should be selfish. We picked Puerto Rico to have a 3-4 person wedding in a lavish resort. Well when we started looking, we got lavish prices as well. The Waldorf, The Conquistador, and Sol Melia all looked nice but they weren’t any different from our other Caribbean vacations. To me these places feel overcrowded and un-original especially for one of the most important days in our lives. We decided to go on the west side of the island for the sunset and away from all of the crowds in San Juan. My fiancé started looking at alternatives and stumbled upon Villa Orleans. I watched the video tour and had no other questions. This just made sense. A private villa with 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, an auxiliary fully furnished apartment, private beach, private pool, and a wooden deck perfect for the wedding for how much? Ummm, yea we’ll take it. After I showed this place to my friends, all of a sudden our 3-4 person wedding turned into 11. So now that we picked the place, how do we organize everything from 1,600 miles away? Luis knew. He introduced us to our wedding coordinator Nihal. She connected us to everything we needed and it was all available in Rincon. We didn’t even pick the cake, we trusted her decision. After a short flight from Boston to San Juan, we took a 40 min Cape Air flight to Mayaguez and had a van waiting for us. Everything was ready and we began our week long stay at the Villa. Every day we would wake up and walk out to the super long balcony to a view that we have never experienced before; Complete and utter privacy. Our wedding went without a hitch since everything was done at the Villa. No one complained, no one was rushed, and everyone enjoyed their stay. Luis was a very gracious host and even agreed to join us for our last evening dinner. We all shared an experience that could not be matched by a resort. For as long as you’re there, Villa Orleans is a place to call your own.

I'm a NY based film producer, and in the summer of 2011 we had a short drama we wanted to film in a beach front location in Puerto Rica. We were infinitely lucky to have come across Luis and Villa Orleans. This was one of the smoothest shoots in my 8 years making films. Luis went out of his way to help us with location management, every day logistics and supplied us daily with his seemingly endless optimism and positive energy. Villa Orleans is very cosy, well laid out, full of any amenity one might wish for. Even with the crew of 12 there was enough space to find privacy, and common areas provided great outlet for communal work and fun. Did i mention 10 steps that separate the dining area and the beach and the star fruits from above our heads for breakfast?

The place was so good that 6 of us stayed for several extra days after the shoot was over. I plan to go to Villa Orleans for vacations every year as long as Luis owns it.

16 25 year olds went on a week vacation just for fun. We were really excited to see the house since the pictures are awesome, and were definitely not let down. The house is literally right on the ocean and its a private beach. When we got there Luis was very helpful with helping us find the house and get familiar with the area (3 main roads). We couldn't have asked for a better host. He was always available for questions and emergencies. He even met us at the hospital for a little incident we had. If you're as lucky as we were he may even bring a personal bartender and Neil Diamond impersonator for your entertainment. Definitely go to Mahi Mahi for a dragonberry mojito and some delicious fresh seafood. The house is about a 10 minute drive from the town. There's not a lot of options for nightlife, but Luis always knows what's going on. Cabs aren't readily available but Luis had some sent to the house to take us out one night. Our only suggestion that we would have done differently ... leave the house at least 5 hours before your flight. We left 4 hours prior to our flight and missed it. The airport is not efficient. Besides that everything was perfect! There's even a watchdog on the property who's really sweet. As Luis says... the most dangerous thing is the sun. Its the perfect place to stay!!!
