A pleasant hotel situated within a quiet part of this lovely old town. The staff were excellent and there is free car parking a few minutes walk away. The room was superb with stunning views from the balcony of the old town and neigbouring hills. It would be very difficult to find a better located hotel in Cuenca. The breakfast was average but not expensive.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights. The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of the old town. Excellent views on the surrounding area of Cuenca. This on the positive side. On the negative side: our room was very small and not very well maintained. The hotel is also very noisy. When some of our neighbours dared to flush his toilet at night it was like we had an waterfall in our own rooms. There was no airconditioning either.
For a price of 106 euro a night (breakfast NOT included) and even higher prices during the high season you would expect much more from a hotel. The lack of compition in the old city centre is probably the cause.
The next time we would choose another hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for our one night in Cuenca. The hotel was well located near the centre of the historic town, near the top of the hill. Hence the views were very good. We had a small balcony from our room which looked out onto the gorge and the Parador opposite. Sitting in bed in the morning sunshine enjoying the view was definitely the highlight of our stay.

The room itself was of average quality with a comfortable bed, although the room was a little small and tired. It was also quite noisy at night from other guests.

In the evening, we ate at the restaurant, which was a disappointment. The menu was extensive and the portions generous, but the quality of the food was very average and the bread rolls stale. We didn't risk the desserts.

In the morning we tried the breakfast buffet and were equally unimpressed with both the selection and the quality. Although there was a waiter in the breakfast room, the coffee was self-service from an urn, not freshly brewed.

We visited the Ciudad Encantada ("Enchanted City") about an hour's drive north of Cuenca, where there are lots of strange shapes formed in the rocks. There is a nice walk among the rocks and trees, and being a Sunday afternoon in November it was not very busy.

If we return to Cuenca, we would choose a hotel in the same area of the town and with the excellent views, but hopefully with better food and accommodation.

We stayed in the Leonor de Aquitania hotel in Cuenca for three nights 27th to 29th December 2006.

We got a room with views fro 97.37 euros per night including breakfast. (They don't have a car park but there is a public car park which is free by the castle, only 10 minute walk away.)

The room was charming and it was overlooking the gorge: amasing views!.

The worst of all was that we got a party of three couples with kids: mums and dads were staying one floor above and kids in the room next to us!. It was an absolute nightmare, the kids were using the wooden and noisy staircase as a playground and they were runnning round the corridors, reception, etc.

I complaint to reception and they didn't manage to get their parents to control them, so I had to complain again the following day and all I got was an offer to change my room to the ground floor!.
I think it is a nice place to stay although pricy, hope you don't have any problem.
