The hotel is a little old. The room views are horrible because you always have other building in front of you. You need to be careful not to see or be seen in underwear (remember to close the curtains).

The room is very clean but the beds are separated and make your backs ache.

The staff is professional but not very friendly.

The hotel is not far from the beach but it is located in a old and horrible area of Arenal.

The pool is just tank with water and a few hours of sun.

There was some variety in food but its quality isn't very good...

In conclusion: "With this prices was could you except?"

We stayed from 5-12th of May 2010 and after having read some of the prior reviews of other guests, we were expecting something really quite bad, but honestly, we didn´t think it was that disappointing ...The facts: It is a hotel in the city centre, yet really close to the beach and nightlife of S`Arenal, so one has to expect the obvious city noises, yet we thought that the "worst" was that the cleaning staff talked really loud early in the morning in the corridors, more care should be taken there, and since the walls/ceilings are not that well isolated, we could hear the neighbour guests, again, it is up to the other guests to remember that they are not the only ones in the hotel....The reception staff is friendly and helpful, took good note of our requests and followed them up properly, the food at the restaurant was quite ok, nice variety of fresh salads and quite well prepared main dishes and side dishes; the soups and desserts were so-so, but can´t really complain... The rooms are ok, simple but clean and airy, the beds are twin, which could be a nuisance to some.. ;-).... if you want it quieter, request higher floor away from the lifts! Didn´t use the pool, (which looked a bit "sad" and walled-in), neither other activities/facilities, so can´t really comment on that....On the whole, quite good price-quality relation.

The hotel was full when we were there and everything was always very clean, 5*. The staff was friendly. The food and drinks were good and with many choices, I only wish there were more natural fruits and the deserts were poor (artificial). The rooms are OK and the water in the shower with lots of pressure whitch was fantastic. The air-conditioned wasn't very strong for the warmth. The beach is 300mt but it's one end of the arenal, if you wanna go to the center you have to walk,but it's not dificult.

I didn't like Arenal very much,it's not very clean, they clean the beach past 9.am with trucks and people already in the sand, NOT ACCEPTABLE!!

This hotel is clean and has nice staff...
The food wasn´t so bad as some people say in this web site!
It is very well located, and at night it was quiet enough to sleep.
