“not worth it!”

Me and my family have just returned from this hotel yesterday and being truthfully honest its the worst hotel ive been in so far as we were ment to be going to the best oasis but its currently under renevation, the only entertainment you got was bingo which you got every night, flamingo dancers every saturday which lasts at least 45 minutes and the same music which was played every night, no kids club at all.. they just let the kids run wild on the stage next to the pool at night which wasn't very safe looking, there was no problem with the cleanliness of the hotel rooms, the reception staff were pleasant enough but the bar staff were a complete joke especially the ginger haired woman and raoul, as they only served you when they wanted and were very ignorant when they were handing you your drinks and food, they occasionally gave you a dirty look, the food wasnt the best and you didnt have a wide range of selection to choose from, the location is terrible as you are stuck away up near cap salou where we asked not to be put as its no where near the shops and is up a big hill, during the holiday a few members of my family got offered drugs after being offered sunglasses a number of times, also 2 young women in our party has been followed right back to the hotel after shopping in town during the day, i would strongly recomend that you do not come to this hotel as it is nothing like some of what others are saying, this was our experience yours might be different.

“Nein!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 December 2010

This is the first time i've ever written any review and normally would'nt bother, but as this sheister whole was so awfull i just had to!!!
I have no problem with the hundreds of Germans there as i found them to be pleasant enough people. I tried not to let the depressing 'view' get too much as i did'nt want to stay in the hotel any longer than i had to anyway, but when i pay a fair few hundred quid for a week or two away and get nothing but B&B food, dirty rooms and trying staff i would normally expect more for my money.

If you're one of the 'few' lucky ones who have enjoyed your stay then i'm happy for you, but i have to agree with the majority of the reviews written here and wish i'd never seen the place. Do yourself a favour and do'nt even bother.

“had a good laugh! :D would return”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2010

I have to disagree with alot of the reviews on here about San Diego hotel, me and my boyfriend really enjoyed ourselves and met some great people while we stayed her for 10 days on all inc. Yes it was full of German, but that didnt bother us, as we had no hassle from them what so ever. We never heard any noise at nights. The food wasn't the best, but what are people expecting, roast dinners every night. We both found the food ok, and didnt have a problem ever 'going hungry'. The swimming pool IS small, but on the plus it's on the roof of the building on the 9th floor, so you get ALL day sunshine, if you dont fancy the beach. Which is out the front door, to the left, 10 second walk away! The bar is fine, and the staff were fantastic with us, especialy as we spoke NO spanish! I would 100% return without a second doubt.

“Avoid if you can”

This holiday was bad from the start. We ended up in this hotel as our original hotel had problems.
We booked a wheelchair friendly holiday. This hotel was soo far from it. But from a more general review.
Most of the reception staff were friendly. I reported a problem with one of the 2 english channels not working. Then went out, came back 2 hours later and asked if anything has happened as I have not been around. Got told that the problem is reported, report it once, no more. How rude. Reported how one of the bedroom lights didn't work. 4 days later, we leave to go home (Light still not working)
The person looking after the bar at the swimming pool was really friendly. He did not speak much English, but I speak a little spanish, he would go out his way to help.
The problem was the hotel does not normally cater for all inclusive. So when we arrived he had to work. Instead of having 10 people tops on the roof serving drinks only, he had to serve 30 of us, Food as well, which he had to get from downstairs.
The food was not great. The eggs used for the breakfast, you would find on the pizza at lunch and dinner. and the food choices does not really change through the week.
Entertainment???
One night was a disco played in the bar. Not that interesting with only the brits hanging around and we all ended up talking.
Another night was a belly dancer.
All the other nights, the entertainment was provided by the other English you met. As the hotel had nothing.
Location:
2 Minutes walk from the beach, nice views off the beach from most balconies.
The resort itself is mainly for germans so plenty of german cafes and bars around. One English bar called the "Sports Bar" Find this place, the only place I find to get a cup of tea.
Rooms:
The beds were not the best. The patio Doors were hard to open and close. With single pain glass so you can hear everything outside the hotel (A lot of people walking home after drinking can get very loud) Also with two 24 hour shops outside, you would get drunks getting more drinks all hours.
The room walls were paper thin, most people on our stay (including me) were kept up all night with germans coming in, talking a bit loud but god does everything echo when you want to sleep.
So germans in between 2am and 6am then Germans going out between 7am and 10am. So bring some ear plugs.

The brits we met were ace, made our holiday. The downstairs bar was OK but the hotel is not used to having all inclusive, thus having people hanging around the hotel all day so they can not manage.

Would not be going back even if I got paid to.

“WHAT A DREADFUL HOTEL”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2010

Rooms clean, bar service during the day very poor, evenings adequate but soom bar staffsullen and rude, only plastic drinking glasses available to all/inc guests. Diningroom staff helpful and polite, but food very poor with little choice and invariably cold. Swimming pool just a joke. The hotel was noisy with no attept by Hotel management to curb rowdy guests, sleep was almost impossible during the early hours of the morning. The location of the hotel was good, but having said that, my advice is , avoid this hotel at all costs.
