i flew out to mallorca, el arenal in october with a few friends and we was very surprised with the quality of the hotel.
we didnt really know what to expect, we had been reading all the reviews and got thw inpression it was an aweful hotel, therefore we wasnt really looking forward to it, when we arrived we where all pleasently surprised! the place is very clean, not very up to date but it has a good room cleaning service, its done every morning 9:00-3:00.
the food is very good, there is a choice of dishes.
the drinks are very good, there is a large range to choose from.
i would not recommend families with young children going during summer seasons because there are many clubs on the street, and can get very loud and roudy. however it is a great place for couples/ friends to go.
there is a small 5 minute walk to the beach, and 10minutes from a small bay which was lovely. just walk towards the harbour and take a left at the bottom of the hill, go down the small road untill you reach the end, turn left again and walk along untill you see the sand. it was a great place to go snorkeling. we saw many fish and coral reefs around there!

i would recommend you going all inclusive if you stay at this hotel, once the night falls the drinks go up in price, you will save money going all inclusive!

there are many things to do on the island of mallorca, but most of the attractions close at the end of september/start of october.

if you go for photography, there are some amazing sights to see! the sunset is unbelievable!

over all it was a great vacation! really enjoyed it.

after reading some of the reviews was dreading our stay here but was plesantly suprised it was not that bad bar staff and resturant staff was very nice .it is how ever mainly a german and dutch resort not many english bars at all we found about three but still had a nice time would stay at luna park again if ever went back but all in all didnt like arenal that much .we found a nice little spanish bar turn left out of hotelhead to tobaco shop dont go down hilltake the left hand forkten yards you will see atlantis sign turn left walk about ten yards you will see casa alfonsos he was very nice always glad to see you would put snacks out all time nuts crisp and hot snacks

we have just returned after spending a week at the hotel ! NO FREE WI-FI
we paid less than £450 all inclusive for the pair of us so we wasnt expecting much,however
the food was plentiful buffet style 3 times a day,yes the beach is about 10-15mins walk and a steep hill,the room was small basic but very clean and linen changed every day.there was a couple of minor details like no kettle in the rooms so a drink wasnt possible till breakfast at 8am and last one was 11pm
the staff were excellent in the bar and restraunt
with arenal it is definatly aimed at the german and dutch nearly every bar and restraunt the beach is fantastic and goes all the was to palma (which we walked about 4-5 miles but got the wally wagon (train) back weather was fantastic
have to agree with some, not really for the children and entertainment was not enough

Access inside the hotel is poor, to get to the dining room there is a lot of steps which can be difficult to manouver at busy times, again to get to the pool there are further steps, to get to the beach there is a long steep hill and definitely not for the infirm.the rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, meals are reasonable but made for the German tourists, you will find the hotel full of Germans and the resort itself is made for the geraman trade, however for what we paid it was OK, drinks service for all inclusive is ajoke, its all inclusive on a budget, 1 drink per person, ques are horrendous and dont dare go 1 minute after 11pm as Pepe will not serve you. Would probably go again to this resort but not to this hotel (the hill nearly killed me)
