we stayed with a coach tour-no problem there. The rooms were ok but why did we need 3 single beds in a double room?Bathroom fine-good size and bath with shower-all clean.
Hotel very large and impersonal.Plenty of seating and bar area.Entertainment average for that sort of place but very loud. You could not escape the noise. We had a free bar from 8-10pm which meant bar staff were slow to serve if paying customers were present.
The problems started when 300 French people arrived on the Friday having some sort of reunion. They took over all the seating areas so we could not get in nor get to the bar.Thankfully they took longer to dine than we did and we managed to get seats and tables.
They tried to get us to move and kept trying to take our seats if we went to the loo.An uncomfortable evening.
On Saturday there was a wedding as well with many guests. It was arranged that we dine at 6.30 in order that we could at least get some food in peace. There was a waitress standing guard at the door in order to keep the French at bay. They justed pushed in and tried to take our tables again.
I appreciate that a large number of people are unstoppable but these situations should be stopped.Maybe 100 people in a group are enough!
The food was pretty awful. It was generally tepid and there were no vegetables apart from a few overcooked frozen beans and carrots.
We were supposed to have s carafe of white, rose and red wine on our tables.Well we did have rose or white but rather small carafes for 6 people. We asked for red and received a very very small carafe which did 3 1/3 fiull glasses. The staff were uniformly sullen.I am sure that if I worked there on a minimum wage I probably would not be overly cheerful but I am sure I could manage the occasional smile.
Overall it is Ok but not somwhere you want to stay for long.
