We have just had a week in this hotel half board. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are of a good and adequette standard. You need to be high up to get a sea view, we were lucking getting a room on the 7th floor.
The food let the hotel down for us. First we went down to dinner on our first night at 8.15 where we were then told this would be our dinner slot and allocated a table that should then be free by that time each night. Being half board the wine and water were included which suprised us but we're always grateful for free wine. We are not really fussy eaters and can usually find something to eat but there were times when that proved difficult. There is usually several meats pork, chicken, beef etc on different days but the veg was wishy washy mixed veg very pale in colour and not very appetising. There was usually fish and a veggy offering each night. Some dishes came out over cooked where they had been left too long in the cookers and the soup looked like dish water with some remnant from the previous thrown in. The real gripe was the potato selection, there were often 2 types of potato either mash, boiled or roast and always chips but we found the none chip offering went by the earlier sitting and when we got to dinner there were only chips on offer. They seemed more engrossed in clearing the tables than keeping the servery topped up. It was a similar story at breakfast except the scrambled egg that looked really good tasted really bad as though it was made from powdered egg.
On the final night we sort a decent restaurant.
If you want to go to Roses B & B this hotel is great otherwise you maybe disappointed.
