“Very poor”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2010

Staff were surly, we were given 1 hour to eat a three course buffet and leave. We had two free bottles of wine per table but watched in disgust as staff poured half used bottles into each other to top up for the following night. This can only go on for so long before the wine is soured. They refused to serve a fresh breakfast before 8am. Rooms were nice and had balconies.
Fortunately the evening entertainment very good and saved the day.

“Lovley hotel right on the beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2010

Room was clean and an ok size..it was cleaned daily and fresh towels daily too.We stayed half board and the food was very good but we found it best to opt for the second sitting as it was'nt quite so busy
Our room was a side sea view ane we had lovley views of sea and mountains, last year we had front sea view but we prefered the side...
Roses is a nice town good shops and supermarkets if needed, and a good old fashoned spanish indoor market with lots of meat, fish and fruit stalls.
Night life consists of bars ans restaurants and just walking along the beach...!!!
We have been there twice now and loved it each time, we will definatly go back again one day.
PS Salvidor Dali lived close by in a wonderful cove..well worth a visit also The Dali Theatre Museum is FAB.

“Good Three Star Beach Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 August 2010

My wife and I have just spent a week at this hotel and, in our view, it is a "good" three star seafront hotel - better than "average" but not quite "very good". For us the location was ideal - a few steps to the beach and within very easy walking distance of both the newer resort of Santa Margarita and the older town of Roses.
We booked a sea view room on a bed and breakfast basis - preferring in the evenings to try various local restaurants. You could not describe our room as spacious but it was large enough for our purpose. It was basically but comfortably furnished - with a fridge, TV and small safe. The bathroom (with a bath and shower over) was also fairly small but again adequate for our purpose. The balcony, with its stunning views, was small but with room enough for two chairs and a table. At breakfast there was a good choice of cold and hot items - as good as, if not better than, other three star Spanish hotels we have stayed in. Our only criticism was that the dining room looked more like a canteen than a hotel dining room.
The lounge and terrace were attractive and the little of the evening entertainment we experienced was enjoyable - a female singer on keyboard. The staff were professional and readily responded to our various queries.

“You get what you pay for.....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 July 2010

This hotel was quite good, staff were all pleasant apart from a couple. Food was good, variety at breakfast and good value buffet in the evening 18 euros per person for as much or as little as you wanted. Rooms standard, very clean, not many extras but nice sea view from balcony.

“Overpriced and tiny rooms”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 June 2009

The hotel looks nice, but the rooms are so small we could not even walk around with your luggage in the room. I am not typically picky about room size, or hotels at all. I have never even written a review until now. The shower is too tight as well. The front desk was rude and unaccomodating. The restauraunt staff was also rude. Bottom line, if you have $200 or 142 Euros to spend, get your money's worth in a hotel with a room you can move in.
