We have just visited the Costa Brava (Roses) on 10th September 2011 From Gerona Airport to Roses we took the transfers by bus,train,bus was less than 2 hours which cost us 20 euros, which was good money spent. We Stayed at the hotel Prestige Coral Platja seafront that was good room and clean, but had ants which was not good some rooms had no Balconies. Food in general term was Poor and was not great selection to customers. Definitely We will not stay at this hotel again, just to say that Reception staff was not helpful to customers favouring the German and French More as first priority customers to the hotel.

Receptionist staff: Very very unfriendly. Some of them can barely say two words in English, they don't understand anything but pretend like they speak English. When there is something out of normal situations they don't like to help or they are very rude. We booked double room, but it was not specified what bed. But when we came there were twin beds. I went to reception and lady was very rude, she argued with me, and then sad like ok we will put beds together. I mean, she could immediately says that in friendly way.

Food: Breakfast every day the same, and if it happens that you like only one or two things you have to eat it every morning. I found food little bit different, marmalade, scrambled eggs taste weird. Dinner is very bad. Food is very basic prepared. Everything is just fried and taste like bad fast food.

Location: Location is excellent. The hotel is on the beach and very near to city center, so you have it all.

Rooms: Rooms are ok, very clean. Balcony at the side views are very spacious. There is air condition and tv.

Other: Other staff apart from reception is very friendly, wi-fi is free in hotel lobby, swimming pool is very small and on back of the building.

We stayed in this hotel as part of a trip. The food was very good, quite a large selection on a buffet and the fish & meat were as tasty and tender as you could get. Our room was a good size but the air conditioning inadequate for it, never got below 80 at night. my fathers room was miniature, the window looked into a 6' square chimney. He could not see the sky let alone the sea. Most off the staff however border on the rude. We were on a drinks included deal and as soon as they saw your slip for this drinks were banged down on the bar. A smile is unknown to most of them. The good and bad cancelled out each other so you can say the hotel is poor to average only.

the room was very small, the ensuite toilet was so close to the washand basin we had to sit on the toilet sideways. The cleaners in the hotel was very pleasant and provided a very good service. the food is repetative and hot food is served just warm, mealtimes are allocated and you must adhere to this. The dining room is very busy and the staff unhelpful. the reception staff are very rude and unfriendly. I always thought that a smile was a universal language that everyone understood, now I know better after visiting this hotel.
