We were travelling between Spain and Portugal by train, so Badajoz was a convenient stop. We booked this hotel in advance on the internet, and to be honest our expectations weren't that high and these expectations were met. It is best described as central and functional. There are twin beds, a servicable bathroom and free internet access, so more or less what we were looking for.

We didn't have the breakfast, we went to a cafe round the corner and had really fresh pastries and coffees for less than €3 so I would encourage people to explore if only for the first hit of caffeine.

Probably best to be clear that it is right in the town, but we got a taxi from the station, so can't comment on finding it. Being right in town however it was a tad noisy during the night.

One last thing, they never actually charged my credit card, so even though it was a budget hotel at €30, so far it hasn't cost me anything!

This was a great place to leave our stuff while we explored Badajoz and Elvas. It was difficult to find, hard to park at, a little cramped, a little noisy, not spotlessly clean, and the beds were a little small and a little hard. It was very close to the pedestrian areas, the historic center, the cathedral, castle, main park and old bridge. We had a good stay and would stay here again. I never asked why you need to swipe your door key again to turn on the room lights!

Very nice service with nice and affordable meals.
Breakfast good and cheap = 3 Euros.
Very well located in the old city's area near Casco Antiguo - an open shopping mall.
