“Excellent hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2011

I meant to submit this review ages ago! My husband and I stayed here for one week 2-9 Sept 2011 and were very impressed. The location is perfect, away from the crowds and surrounded by lovely established villas (would love to own one).

The service is excellent - we particularly liked eating breakfast & dinner on the outside terrrace and the waiting team there were lovely and good fun. They seem to really enjoy their job and work well together. We didn't mind waiting at the bar tables next to the terrace if there were no tables available. We usually had a bottle of wine with the evening meal as wine by the glass wasn't served, but this was fine with a nice relaxing (5 courses sometimes) meal. The food was delicious and with a good variety to choose from. My husband also enjoyed the CAVA at breakfast mixed sometimes with the different fruit juices on offer.

The nearby beach is OK (€12 for 2 beds & 1 parasol) but we spent most days on the hotel beach. This is not beautiful, but adequate for comfortable sunbathing (€8 for 2 beds & 1 parasol) and steps down into refreshing sea. We also swam out to the 'platform' for our exercise.

We hired a car for one day as I wanted to show my husband my childhood haunts of Formentor beach and Puerto Pollensa. It took about an hours drive. On the way back we drove via Cala Bona and Cala Millor and I was so pleased to be going back to Costa de los Pinos which is much more my cup of tea.

The hotel room was very comfortable, yes the colour scheme was a bit 80's but this didn't bother us at all. We had all that we needed and a nice private balcony (room 742 - top floor).

We will definately go back to this hotel at some point, it was a lovely experience and only 2.5hrs from home.

Room Tip: Top floor - room 742

“A gem of a stay”

We picked this hotel as we wanted a more relaxed stay than at the nearby resorts of cala millor and we were not disappointed it is situated at the far end of the bay in fact the only hotel there nestled in between the pine trees and sea, a most beautiful location. The pool area was never busy s most people headed of to the nearby Golf course in the morning. Even though there were a lot of Germans not many sunbeds had been reserved probably down to the deposits required for the towels. Just make sure you know the movement of the sun to get the best position for all day sun. The rooms were very clean and well appointed, the beds typically Spanish in firmness but not as bad a some. We were on a half board basis which seemed to be the norm as there is a local shop and only one local bar/restaurant within walking distance, this did not matter as the hotel restaurant was excellent with very high quality Buffet and show cooking with choice of fresh fish and meats, breakfast was of the same high standard with choice for every pallet. Drink was reasonable for a 4 star hotel my wife grades the hotel on the cost of a cup of tea, only 2 euros (3.5 euros in Cyprus last year). The staff were always happy to serve. A car is useful if you want to see the island but busses run to the hotel regularly.

“Great hotel”

Lovely hotel, with large rooms, a very scenic pool and great food. The only downside was that the hotel had no beach, although you can swim/snorkel in the sea, and the local beach is about 10 minutes walk.

“10 days in the sun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 October 2011

My sister and I wanted 10 days in the sun in mid June, and chose the Eurotel Punta Rotja based on the Tripadvisor reviews. We were not disappointed!

We had a twin bedded room on the 5th floor with a lovely balcony overlooking the bay and pool. Room was super clean, and everything worked.

We really enjoyed the dining options, as we could eat as little or as much each night as we wanted. The female chef on the grill is exceptional, and offered fantastic service each night, with a warm smile. We ate by the beach on one night, which was lovely; plus we dined out in a local village during their summer festival, which gave a great insight into local life.

We found the pool rather chilly, but beautiful. It was great that people were not allowed to reserve sun beds - if you did woe betide your things, as they would be swiftly removed! The goats cheese salad in the pool bar was the perfect lunch, and the mid morning coffees very delicious, though cappucinos with whippped cream rather than frothy milk were a little strange.

We would happily re-visit, and having driven around the majority of the island, would say that this is definitely one of the nicer areas. Many of Mallorca's towns were rather nasty to put it bluntly!

Room Tip: Choose a high floor, pool facing

“Great Hotel”

We have just returned after a 4 day stay, hotel is lovely, rooms very clean and large. Food is excellent and staff friendly. Only down side is lack of things to do in the evening, to far to walk into Calor Milor and buses stopped running after 8.30pm. I would reccommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We were on the 3rd floor, room excellent, cannot comment on other floors
