Having been to Ayia Napa previously I knew what to expect in terms of bars and accommodation. So, if you're after a bargain then it is definitely worth staying here. The rooms were basic (in the old block) but were cleaned regularly by a kind and highly tolerant maid (I would have to disagree with the fact that they were not cleaned). They have a fridge, cooking hob, utensils, sofabed, table, etc. There are two main downsides, the first being that the showers are basically a real let down as they just trickle water and the second being the location (although I suppose the beds can be hard if you don't party all night). Distance-wise if you are looking to be in the centre of the action you will have to take a 10 minute walk or a quick taxi drive away (price being between 7-10 EUR). However, if you are looking for a cheap family getaway the pool is very good and child-friendly and the small beach about a 3-4 minute walk away is also all you want from a beach (although it is not full of the action like Nikki beach is). However, on the plus side as it is away from the action etc it is very quiet at night and definitely worth it if you're paying £140.00 p.p. for plane, transfers and hotel (i.e. just cheap last minute experience). The staff are really good and there are two supermarkets and a good restaurant right next door.
