“Quiet winter break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

We stayed at the Pavlo Napa because our original choice of hotel in Protaras was closed due to refurbishment. The Pavlo Napa was a lovely hotel but very quiet, and sadly deserted at times with very little to do there as even the local bars and restaurants were closed. Luckily we had hired a car and did lots of sight seeing.
The hotel was was quite cold in communal areas but the rooms were lovely and warm. The food was excellent and freshly cooked to order at lunchtime, (no point in a buffet for so few people) and the drinks in the bar were very good.
The staff were welcoming and very helpful and we had a very laid back, relaxing break, taking full advantage of the sauna, jacuzzi and health club facilities.
We wouldn't go back to Ayia Napa in January ,( as much as we love Cyprus,) it was just to quiet and we prefered Paphos ,even though the Pavlo Napa was wonderful .

“Wonderful staff, average hotel.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

We stayed at the Pavlo Napa because we were transferred there by hotels4u.com as our original choice of hotel in Protaras was closed due to lack of clients. The Pavlo Napa is a nice enough hotel but not deserving of 4 stars, although it is a very good 3 star hotel. The reception area and lounge were unheated and freezing cold, possibly because of the sparsity of guests. However, the dining room and bar were a little warmer, and the bedroom was as warm as required thanks to the built in heating/air conditioning.A fridge is provided in the room and also a safe which requires payment. The whole place including our room and bathroom was spotlessly clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and in fact we were upgraded from half board to all inclusive, on arrival. Our room was smallish but clean and tidy with a nice bathroom, and three news channels in English were available on the flatscreen tv, as well as a Greek channel that showed films in the evening with the original English soundtrack . Breakfast was more than adequate if a little tepid, due again I suppose to the lack of significant numbers of guests. For the first 3 days dinner was, without wishing to be unkind, uninspiring, but on the Saturday it improved dramatically only to lapse back the next day. However on the last two days of our stay, it was again much improved. The hotel is right next to the beach and there are several shops in the immediate vicinity, although many were closed out of season. Would we stay there again?

Room Tip: Out of season all rooms are quiet and all have side sea view

We stayed in the pavlo napa hotel over christmas and new year, and couldnt think of a better way to spend the festive season. The hotel is extremally clean. They have great facilitys to keep the whole family busy. The food was amazing we didnt have any complaints about anything in the 2 weeks we were there, the 1 things that stands out about the pavlo napa hotel is thestaff who work there they were the most caring and helpful people i have ever met, going out of there way to do everything they could for us, the entertainment was fantastic every night and our son loved every minute of it even though he was the only child in the hotel he had a fabulous time and was really looked after. I would stongly reccomend everybody to visit this hotel it was the best holiday we had ever had and we are already looking at booking our summer holiday back in the pavlo napa hotel.

“Shouldn't be advertised as a 4 star hotel!”

We spent our honeymoon there in October, 2011 and we couldn't have been more disappointed. The room was small, uncomfortable and the bathroom looked very dirty. We had cockroaches every evening in the bathroom and after 3 days we requested a new room. The building was very cold, no heating at all (it was about 12-15 Celsius degrees outside). Food was ok, but almost the same each day. Lunch and snacks were very poor. The inside pool was closed on Sunday and the service there was horrible. We couldn't buy a wi-fi voucher because they run out of them (!). After we came home, we sent a complaint to the agency that organised our trip to Pavlo Napa Beach Hotel. They forwarded it to the management of the hotel who simply replied by telling lies, stating that we - the guests (!) - were a pain in the neck and we were the ones who caused problems for them. This hotel is full of disappointments, I wouldn't recommend it. For this price you can find a much much better one!
