“ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC HOLIDAY!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

The second time that we have visited this hotel and it gets BETTER everytime!! During the winter of 2010/11 new things were added, 3 new restaurants Japanese, Pizzeria and American diner as speciality restaurants, The food in the main restaurant was always exquisit. There was LOADS of choice for breakfast lunch and dinner EVERYDAY! They have also built a Lazy Lagoon which is excellent fun for the the young AND the young at heart! Give it a go! Please don't be fooled by the Ayia Napa address. It is far enough away to avoid the rowdies and near enough to get to by bus, car or taxi if you really want to go!! We will DEFINITELY go again!!

As i am 11 years old i went to cyprus olympic lagoon resort, it was amazing! the people at the hotel was very kind to younger children and adult. the hoilday was the best time ever as i have been to barbados and found this hoilday better! the intertament is very good but the first bit was better for younger children! the lazy river was fantastic and their were diffrent types of restrants their for you to eat it! i couldnt explain how much i loved this hoilday and i would recomend this as i am 11 years old as i am older i will be coming here again.

Room Tip: i would personally go for the pool view as i got the roads and a building site view but to me it did...

Dear young guest,

Thank you for your wonderful review. We are pleased to read that your experience with us was so enjoyable. We loved seeing that our team showed once again their friendliness and attentiveness. As for the lazy river, it is indeed great fun and it sounds like you enjoyed many aspects of our magnificent Resort.

I regards to the view of your room, yes some of the rooms have Inland views but the majority of the rooms and Bungalows have amazing views of the Sea and Olympic Lagoon Pools.

Please allow us to say that we are a little confused about the building site you have mentioned on your review as there is none within the vicinity of the Resort. On another note, please inform us in advance and hopefully on your next visit we may be able to allocate you into a room with a better view.

Thank you once again and we do hope that we shall have the pleasure of welcoming you back for another "grand stay".

“Perfect Wedding and Holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

Absolutely brilliant holiday and even more special wedding!! The hotel is fantastic and caters for all needs and wants. The Thomas Cook brochure photographs do the refurbishments no favors as it was 100% better on arrival and we did feel that as a travel company they didn't know a lot about the changes. Anyway, the hotel itself could not have been better. It’s the cleanest resort weve ever stayed in, and the service provided by all the staff was outstanding. All the restaurants serve wonderful food, and the main buffet hall changes theme each night yet always serves salads, pasta, pizzas, and kids food, its just one of the hot sections changes to suit the nightly theme. Even though it is buffet, you could not ask for nicer food, and it is kept well stocked all night, and at lunch time also.
With regards to our wedding, it was just perfect. The inhouse wedding coordinator Sally was just superb, even though there are weddings happening each day, she makes it feel like yours is the “special” one, she really cares. We managed to reserve (at a small cost) a 5pm ceremony which I thoroughly recommend as the heat is more bearable then, however still hot. Also by having a later wedding it ensures the rest of the day flows really nicely whereas we witnessed some couples getting married at lunchtime and then were back in the swimming pool to kill time until the reception in the evening. We had our wedding in the gardens and the reception there also, it was the most expensive of venues but by far the best and so worth it!! We had our own private bar setup just for our guests and we decided on the bbq buffet which was just beautiful.

The Fishermans Village is fantastic accommodation and adds the Wow factor to your holiday. The air conditioning was awesome and the maids cleaned the apartments twice a day sometimes, replenishing towels all the time.

The only thing I would say on a slightly negative note is that I would like there to have been one more restaurant for an all-inclusive resort, and the entertainment provided in both bars in the evening I didn’t find nesseccary every night. If one has entertainment on then I think the other should just be left as a bar playing modern background music.

All in all it was a brilliant holiday and wedding and we will certainly be going back in future years.
Our thanks go out to all the staff, in particular Sally (wedding Co-ordinator), Elle (Customer Relations) and Laura (Thomas Cook wedding coordinator) for making it such a special occasion and stay.

“Not that great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

We stayed in this hotel in late october 2011, and the experience is mixed. It was me, my husband, our son (8 months) and my husbands parents, and we were there to celebrate my motherinlaws 60th birthday.
Good things: Great staff, very helpful! Great food! We stayed in standard doubleroom, and they were ok, just a little dated. Nice looking hotel and very spacious.
Bad things: About 90% of all guests are there for weddings, arranged by the hotel. There were at least 3 weddings a day when we were there. So all wedding guests tend to get very loud and drink all day by the pool. A bit disturbing.
The entertainment is awful! The scene where the shows take place are just outside the hotelrooms so you cant expect to get some sleep until after midnight. And if you have a baby with you who go to bed early there is no chance too get some sleep. It destroyed most of the our holiday!
The pool water were freezing cold! A tip is to go the see, a bit warmer for a swim.
The swedish agency informed us this was a quiet family hotel, but it´s not! There are people partying and making a lot of noise during day and night! It´s ok if thats what you like, but then they shouldn´t market it like it´s a cosy family hotel.

Room Tip: Choose room who´s not facing the entertainment scene. cx

Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to share your thoughts with the Trip Advisor readers.

Please allow us to offer our most sincere appreciation for your thoughtful comments about the Olympic Lagoon Team; indeed our team is extending endless efforts to meet and exceed guests’ expectations. In addition our talented chefs aim to offer great food with amazing dining options as to tantalize every guest’s taste buds.

In regards to the volume of the music you have experienced we truly apologize. Being a family Hotel we are required to have certain shows for children from 20:00 hrs until 21:30 hrs and then the adult entertainment commences from 21:30 hrs and finishes at 23:30 hrs. As for the outdoor Swimming pool being cold, please note that the Resort offers a sizeable indoor swimming pool which during low season is heated up to 28 Celsius.

We would be delighted to have the opportunity in welcoming you back to Olympic Lagoon Resort. Should you wish to, please email me and I assure you that we shall do our utmost to accommodate you in a room suitable to your needs.
