Setting the hotel is very attractive, very much green around is peaceful and quiet. The biggest attraction is the swimming pools of varying depths. The hotel is located close to the sandy beach, which is large and broad. The hotel very nice, nice is not obtrusive. Stay remember very well, probably the pick up there this year! . I recommend all ....

I have stayed at atlantica aenaes for 3 days during january 2012. The hotel is very well located away from the busy centre but very close to the sea. The hotel has a very large swimming pool as well as a nice indoor pool. Many rooms have private pools. Rooms are big enough. Breakfast is good but in comparison with other 5 star hotels, i think that it could be better. Staff has to smile more to the clients and rooms could be more clean. I beleive that aeneas is a 5 star hotel for its facilities ( spa, private pools etc ) but cleanliness and breakfast quality match to a 3 star hotel.

we stayed in this hotel resort for one week at the start of september and could not believe the quality and service compared to other thomson platinum hotels,here all inclusive means just that, fruit and a bottle of wine in your room on arrival,a welcome drink on arrival,fluffy bath robes,quality food,massive comfy beds somebody knocking on your door in the afternoon to make sure everything is ok and mints on the pillow.
all the staff are pleasent and helpful and the management are there to make sure everything is right at all times.
Nissi beach is just across the road a small beach but clean.
you can get a taxi from the hotel to ayia napa from outside the hotel, its about a mile or so away but doesnt have a lot going for it in the daytime,it all happens at night if you like that sort of loud resort not for us.
We went to the north of cyprus on a minibus tour which we booked at half the price of thomsons from a shop out the front of the hotel,we regreted not paying the extra and going with thomsons,the driver spent most of his time driving one handed talking on his mobile,then stopped to see his girlfriend leaving us for ten minutes roasting,when we got to north cyprus he spent most of his time telling everybody not to look or take pictures of anything unless he said unnerving the younger members and ladys,he then took us to a small town and told us which cafe to have a drink at this turned out to be the most expensive!
we also did a jeep safari tour of the trodos mountains through thomson this was expensive but well organised and professional.
The only gripe we have is that all flights to and from Cyprus seem to be night flights from the midlands.

If you have booked a holiday in this hotel, then rest assured you are in for the most wonderful holiday, 5 * means different things to different people, as a middle class family (ages ranging from 17 years to 71 years) this was defiantly 5*, the staff are beyond helpful without being pushy, everyone has a smile, the lady in the leisure centre who gives out the pool/beach towels was amazing, nothing was to much trouble, the food was wonderful, everything you could want and more, having a picky teenager didn't even cause us any problems, she found something she like each meal time (a miracle!). One report i read before i went said that the hotel catered more for Russians and Germans than the English, but i disagree, everyone was treated equally. The pool was fantastic and cleaned everyday. The TMC pool side entertainment staff were great fun, gently prodding but never nagging people to get involved in the pool games. Special thanks to Steve and Douglas who were polite, friendly and extremely enthusiastic and made our holiday even more fun. The rooms were very clean, also the hairdryers supplied are pretty decent. Also there is free internet access in the reception area, you just need to ask the reception staff for the relevant code. I also read about the cats, there are cats, but the hotel staff feed the cats away from the hotel (within the grounds) so the cats never bother anyone for food, they just want the occasional stroke. The resort itself is beautiful, the beach is extremely clean and the sea was Chrystal clear (and very warm), the sun beds at 2.50 euros a sunbed and 2.50 euros an umbrella, but if you keep your receipt you can return after lunch. Hope this puts your minds at rest if you've booked your holiday here and if your thinking of booking, then go ahead, i know we will be going back.
