“1-night stay from a young couple”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 September 2010

We stayed just for one night, but i'm pleased to say we had a nice experience. We booked our stay through the hotels website (although it\s merely an insurance policy - we paid cash when we checked out).

Recommended for: People that are looking for the best value-quality ratio. Those who like french traditions and people.

Not recommended for: Those seeking extreme luxury or ultra-quite holidays. Those who hate the french.

Cleanliness: We arrived well before our arranged time of arrival. Yet the rooms were cleaned and reassuring paper-tapes with the label "disinfected" were found in the bathroom. We didn't have the chance to see if we'd have towels changed etc. since we only stayed for one night, but we observed at rooms around us what seemed as an unobtrusive service performed around midday hours.

Location: It's located right next to the sea and easily accessed by car through a small road. It's easy to walk through the whole town and see everything in just a few hours. It should be noted though that walking back at night should be avoided, since the coastal road is very dimly lit (and therefore a tad scary - we did that unfortunately) and the main road that cars travel at high speeds has no sidewalk.

Rooms: We went for the less expensive double (no sea-view etc.) and yet were quite pleased. It was quite roomy for two persons. We had a very limited view to the sea, the sun light was unobtrusive in the morning hours and we were above the restaurant, so at times it smelled really nice (and tempting!). Only negative aspect was that the sound from nearby rooms could be heard (which wasn't really bad, except from the plumming noises, that were a bit obtrusive). Also i didn't bother with the wifi coverage since the signal was virtually non-existent in our room.

Service: Employees were all very friendly and helpful. We got directions and helpful info regarding the small town of Eretria, that made our excursions easy to plan. During our stay we went at the pool (a medium-sized 1.6m - 0.5m depth pool), which seemed quite a relaxing place for tanning or reading a book and had a bar near it (indicative prices: water 500ml 1€, fredo coffee 3€). Right next to the bar is the sea, which is nothing to write home about, but still ok. The nights are catered to the french (infact the whole service seems to be centered around the french culture) with animations, dancing lessons etc. We went to one such event and it seemed a very fun experience, although we didn't understand a single word (it was mostly singing and dancing though). Tasteful and fresh breakfast without any bells and whistles.

Value: Extremely pleased and this was a huge plus for us. We paid 42€ for the cheapest double room. It should be noted though that the second half of september is a low-demand season here.

Sleep quality: Very pleased. Although the bed quality was nothing to write home about, the lighting and the air conditioning system (which is not the classice cheap aircondition device, but rather a central airconditioning system and has easy wall-mounted controls) more than made up for it.

“wonderful vacations”

we spend some days there and we liked very much, especially the children
we stayed in a maisonette with refrigerator.(there is not in other rooms.)
The food was fantastic and well cooked.More than expected for hotels of such style.
The entertainment was not bad for young kids but too simple for older people.
