We booked at this hotel cos we wanted a relaxing holiday away from it all.. and that is exactly what we got! This resort comprises of 2 hotels next to each other.. 'Holidays in Evia' and 'Eretria Village'. We were staying at 'Holidays in Evia' but we could use all the facilities of 'Eretria Village' The rooms at Holidays were very basic but had all the neccesities ( TV, airconditioning, bar, hot & cold water ). There is a small beach with deckchairs ( no umbrellas) and a good size pool nearby... which was again quite basic but we were for a big surprise when we went for dinner at 'Eretria village'. There was another pool which was big & round with an island in the middle... really amazing and the food at the restaurant was great, varied and very fullfilling. We used to spend the whole day by this pool. Animators used to keep us busy all day long with games, aqua aerobics & dancing! In the evening more entertainment was organised.. for all the family to enjoy!
If you'd like to go to Athens for a day you can catch the bus right outside the hotel for EUR7 and the trip takes about an hour and a half. Buses are very comfy. (A taxi would cost about EUR50 ) With regards to nightlife.. there are a couple of clubs at a nearby sweet village - Amarithos. This village is also worth a visit during the day where you can enjoy some excellent seafood by the beach.
I would really recommend this resort for a family holiday and if you want to relax & let the animators keeps your kids busy! I was there with my boyfriend but we still had a great time!
