I have spent a week in Petit Village Hotel last year and I found it excellent. The whole personal is very very nice, friendly and open!! Also very flexible and multi-lingual. Typical traditional Greek food and wine, excellent service, rooms are always very clean. The rooms are also equipped with air-conditioning. The hotel has also a beautiful swimming pool and the beach is just twenty meters away from the main building. The sea is clear and clean there and is very warm in summer and late summer.
From the hotel one directly can pick up a public bus to Eretria (very beautiful town with a 5000 year old history, approximately 2,5 kms from the Hotel), and there is also a direct bus to Chalkida and Athens (frequent connections). Bus trip to Athens ca. 2 hours. Price for a bus ticket to Athens around 6-7 Euro.
Taxi to Eretria is very cheap too (between 3-4 Euro). The prices for accomodation and meals in this hotel are really excellent. I have travelled a lot. From my experience, I can strongly recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to spend some excellent holidays in an extremely friendly and beautiful mediterrean atmosphere.
