I don't usually go back to the same hotel establishment as there are so many of them out there - in this case I don't apologise for making an exception.
The Sun Rise Hotel & Apartments is an absolute gem situated in a quieter part of Eritrea but just a few minutes walk from the centre where all the action is. The hotel is spotlessly clean and tidy and George and his able staff go out of their way to make your stay with them as hassle free as possible.
The rooms are more than adequate and all come with well-equipped kitchen facilities. For the more energetic there is a swimming pool plus tennis and basketball courts. For those not wanting to exert themselves a tidy poolside bar awaits with a whole range of drinks and snacks available at all times of day or night - nothing is too much for the staff and they cater to your every whim to make your stay an enjoyable one. Some may criticise the lack of dining facilities - not so. George and his colleagues are happy to arrange for any takeaway meal to be delievered to you on the premises where you can eat at your leisure. For those not want to try this style of dining there are an abundance of tavernas and restaurants just a quick, gentle stroll away which cater for all tastes and styles.
This is, without any doubt, a stress free and totally relaxing holiday. But, don't take my word for it - come and see for yourself and, believe me, you will not be disappointed what the Sun Rise and Eritrea have to offer. Greek hospitality at its very best.........................
