I stayed at the Formule 1 hotel on my way to the Black Forest.
The hotel was basic but extremely cheap. (£GB22.20 for 1 person including breakfast.) The hotel was a couple of hundred metres from the motorway, and had its own large free car park. The room was small but adequate and clean; TV & wash basin were provided. Shower & toilet were up the corridor. The bed was firm, but OK. Breakfast was a continental buffet, as much as you wanted, with the food a reasonable standard.
Two slight gripes:
1) The check in was by machine. The instructions were in english on the main computer, but it rejected my credit card a couple of times. I eventually realised that the card reader was asking me for my PIN in French. As I was tired, I hadn't realised what it was saying. A language option on the card reader would be helpful.
2) The check in machine allocated a 6-digit code number for access to the hotel and your room. It would be nice if you could choose your own code, say your date of birth or telephone number, as it would be more memorable. I was worried that if I went to the toilet in the middle of the night, I might forget to take the paper with the code to get back into the room.
That said, it would certainly not stop me staying there again.
